Every Thursday afternoon, head to the Railway St. Fresh Food & Produce Market to purchase fruit and vegetables, as well as other products by local farmers. On the fourth Sunday of each month, spend some time at the Moss Vale Farmers & Flea Market where you can also pick up fresh produce, honey, jams, breads, arts, crafts and antiques.

Moss Vale hosts an annual agricultural show in March, one of the biggest agricultural shows in the New South Wales. Visitors can cheer on their favourite horse riders and jumpers, pet some alpacas, view photography and knitting exhibitions, join cooking classes or simply watch the fireworks.

Moss Vale History and Heritage

Buildings dating back to the middle of the 19th century line the main streets of Moss Vale. To best take in the heritage properties, opt for a self-guided heritage walk, which will take you past close to 30 buildings. These include churches, banks, a school and the former post office.

To see how and where the region’s first European settlers lived and worked, make your way to Throsby Park. Here, you will be able to walk amongst heritage buildings that were once part of the original homestead. Alternately, spend some time at the Moss Vale Railway Precinct, home to one of New South Wales’ largest train stations, built in 1867.
