Description

The Cottage at White Birch Farm is a charming two bedroom fully self-contained cottage located on our 25 acre hobby farm at Robertson in the NSW Southern Highlands. It is north facing with stunning rural views from every sun-filled window, all the way to the Blue Mountains. The building is nestled in three acres of beautiful old established gardens including Japanese maples, magnolias, rhododendrons, azaleas and hundreds of bulbs. Our pastures support 13 friendly sheep, two alpacas, three donkeys, and some cattle. They all have names We have also recorded 70 species of birds on the property.

Our farm includes a unique 12 acre rainforest with an informative signposted walk you are welcome to explore. We have recently planted an arboretum and are in the process of establishing a Japanese garden.

There are two bedrooms sleeping four people in total. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and bedroom 2 has two king single beds. Tariff includes all linen, towels, bedding, tea and coffee and free wifi. Reverse cycle air conditioning is in the living room and there are oil heaters and electric blankets in the bedrooms. There is a flat screen 3D TV in the lounge, and DVDs, books and games are provided. The well equipped kitchen includes an electric stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and cooking utensils. A gas BBQ is on the verandah. The cottage is on town water supply. The rumpus room underneath has a table tennis table, washing machine and dryer.

We have a large studio that was recently used by Australia's greatest living artist John Olsen, to paint his biggest work since the Sydney Opera House mural.

Unfortunately as we have vulnerable animals and wildlife we don't allow pets.

We welcome families, but The Cottage is essentially designed for couples and singles there is no bath and there are four fishponds on the property. Children should be 5 or over unless by prior arrangement and children must be supervised.

The property is strictly non smoking.

For your added security, this property is only managed in Australia and we never request payments be made to overseas bank accounts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Something for everyone There's something very special about watching the sun rise over the hills and no sounds to disturb you except for the song of the rozellas in the trees. The cottage at Birch farm is immaculate, comfortable and is in a great location. The hosts are wonderful and helpful. . All our family enjoyed our weekend, walking through the rain forest and feeding the animals. It's a very special place if you need to come up for air and re-energise the soul.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blissful stay We had a wonderful three-night stay at White Birch Farm. The accommodation was lovely - very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Anna and Tony were so charming and could not have been more helpful. We loved interacting with and feeding the animals. The surrounding area is beautiful, with so much to do. We did not want to leave!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seriously stunning views with cottage comfort We recently stayed at the cottage for the weekend. A true slice of paradise. The cottage is peaceful, clean and cozy and the views are beautiful. Hosts Tony and Anna met us on arrival, and we're very responsive to emails pre arrival. It feels like you are miles away from anywhere, with the mist coming down the valley and over the trees, but you aren't far away from town for supplies. We were even offered the opportunity to pick some of Anna's award winning herbs. Beautiful rainforest, arboretum and rose garden on site and amazing bird life. Good wifi, quality linen, really comfy beds and all the kitchen supplies you need. We will be back. Trish
