The apartment is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, with a gorgeous harbour park just steps away. Balmain is a charming, historic, older Sydney suburb on the harbour and close to the city. The many heritage-listed buildings and unique location are part of what makes this suburb so sought after. Balmain has a long history of bohemian art & culture and the streets are buzzing with activity and life. Boasting world-class restaurants, hotels, cafes, art galleries, markets and much, much more, it is treasure trove of things to do and see.

Transport: Located within easy distance to the wharf where there are ferries to the city - a great way to see Sydney Harbour - frequent buses are also minutes away on Darling St., going to the city and various other Sydney locations.

Stay in: The freshly updated, spacious and light apartment with open plan living area, air conditioning , comfortable sofas and lovely, small sunny garden at entry with easy street access 3 steps.

A large, quiet and generous-sized bedroom with a very comfortable, queen size bed and luxurious linen looks out onto a private inner courtyard.

Ample storage, plus a desk, means you'll have plenty of room to spread out, and will have everything you'll require - especially if you need to do some work during your stay.

The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, cutlery, plates, bowls, etc. as well as essential pantry items, tea, coffee etc.

All linen and towels are provided.

Wi-Fi means you can stay connected, and there is a TV and DVD player..

Note: The apartment is part of a larger home, but is fully private with its own access directly from the street, so you can come and go as you please with no interaction with the residents necessary. There is street parking available.

The apartment is in a residential area with lovely neighbours, so respect in this regard is appreciated. Strictly no parties of any kind, no smoking inside, and no pets.

Standard Minimum Stay: 2 nights

Weekends: Fri/Sat night: 2 nights

Long Weekends minimum: 3 nights

Easter Good Friday - Monday: 4 night minimum

PREMIUM PERIODS: 7 night minimum unless by prior agreement with owner - Premium Periods include School Holidays/Christmas/ New Year Holiday Period

CANCELLATION POLICY: Strictly 2 weeks notice, in writing, for weekend bookings.

1 month notice is required in writing, for longer stays.

For school holiday periods, public holidays, Easter and Christmas, a minimum 6 weeks written notice is required, and additionally, an alternative booking for the same period must be received for a full refund to be given. No exceptions will be allowed.

Special offers - applicable during NON-HOLIDAY periods only. Applies Mon - Thurs only.

MIDWEEK 2 night stay - $350 total rental + refundable bond

MIDWEEK 3 night mid-week stay - $500 total rental + refundable bond

MIDWEEK 4 night stay - $700 total rental + refundable bond

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommended Property We stayed here for 11 nights over Xmas and New Year. Diane and Chris were excellent hosts and their welcome when we arrived was greatly appreciated. The little touches like fresh flowers in the vase, a couple of bottles of wine, with Xmas flavoured goodies were just fantastic. The accommodation itself is ideal for two people. It’s spacious and well set out, so we felt right at home from the start. Balmain is a wonderful suburb, with beautiful walks, cafes, etc. and so close to the city. We were able to eat out with a wide choice of top quality places all within a 15 minute walk from the apartment. The place is also supplied with excellent cooking facilities, and the nearby supermarket and other fresh food stores meant that we ate in quite a lot too. We highly recommend this excellent property.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent stay My wife and I stayed in Balmain Gardens for 10 days. On booking we established early contact with Diane and Chris, the owners, who made us extremely welcome and who are the perfect hosts. Our visit was to celebrate an early Xmas with our kids and due to an unexpected change in plans we had our Xmas lunch etc in the unit. Di offered to supply so much as there were 6 adults and a baby to ensure nothing went amiss. This offer reflected the ‘extra’ touches on arrival. Whilst the usual tea, coffee etc was provided a complementary bottle of wine, chocolate, biscuits and fresh flowers made for a very warm welcome. We arrived late evening and Di was there to meet us and explain a few things about the unit. The unit itself is perfect. Immaculate, modern and tasteful in design. It is spacious with plenty of storage/hanging room/space. Everything kitchen wise is provided as well as linen and laundry facilities. The unit is in a very quiet, secluded cul de sac perfectly situated near Balmain shops and restaurants. Quite simply, this has been a perfect stay for us. Di & Chris have been great hosts and their unit perfect. Would we return ...... most definitely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quaint Spot Stayed in this lovely little apartment over the weekend. Everything is close within walking distance The room is a bit tight in places such as the bathroom and the bed room is basically underneath the main house. unfortunately they had a lot of rain the night before and we experienced a musty smell from a leak but that aside - the host is great and the location perfect. Would recommend you give it a crack if in Balmain

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Stay We loved this place. It has a real home away from home feel about it, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for either a short or long term stay. Lovely hosts who have added that little bit extra with some welcome items such as a bottle of wine, tea, coffee, chocolate etc. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Fabulous location - bus at the end of the street, ferry a 5 minute walk away and about the same or a bit more to the shops. A beautiful suburb with water views from almost everywhere.
