The Retreat at Coasters hovers in perfect harmony with one of the most beautiful natural Bush land/water settings in Sydney. Cooling breezes in summer almost guaranteed and all day sun in Winter an idylic feature of its elevated North West aspect.
The house is comprised of a main bedroom with a queen size bed. The view from the bed is second to none. In addition to the view there is also the lapping sounds of water that travel up to the house at night and bathe you with sleep tonic. The open plan living, kitchen and dining area is spacious and contains all the amenities one could possibly need for a comfortable time away. On the other side of the house, buffered by the living area, is the second bedroom containing 2 single beds which can easily be joined together for a couple and a double bunk. The bathroom and toilet is in the vicinity of the second bedroom.
The coup de grace of the house is the massive deck which runs the entire length of the house and is far and away the place one finds oneself gravitating to. The deck also has a cooking station with a BBQ, gas hotplate and an electric frying pan allowing for the preparation of everything one needs to cook. The view from the cooking area keeps one engaged in a manner that will result in the most delicious food you have ever cooked. It's a cooks paradise kitchen.
There are a number of options for holiday rental in the area and they all offer exactly the same in terms of the location. The retreat has the advantage of being there without having to leave the house/deck. Even in the worst weather your weekend away will be enjoyed because at the Retreat rather than feeling cooped up its just another nature show.
The property is ideally located for a hassle free holiday in one of Sydney's most beautiful natural environments. The property is nestled between vast flora and fauna rich bushland and the shimmering waters of the Basin and Hawkesbury River.
The easy and very pleasant ferry ride from Palm beach is followed by a short walk through stunning bushland, where you may very well spot your first Wallaby or perhaps Black Cockatoo, and up the windy path which situates you in the accessible yet very remote feeling beach/bush house. For Sydneysiders this coastal retreat is right on your doorstep yet feels like a million miles from home. For travellers it is a unique opportunity to explore the treasures of The Pittwater. Enjoy time out from the hustle and bustle of life and unwind in this secluded, comfortable and stylish retreat.
At the rear of the property you will enjoy massive rock faces and spectacular bushland. For those more adventurous there are more serious bushwalking opportunities that take you into the National Park and afford spectacular views of the stunning waterways and Palm Beach.
Stunning bushwalks in a National Park with opportunities to visit some Aboriginal Rock Art and beautiful isolated beaches, numerous non-powered watersport options 2Kayaks and a SUP are included for guests, fishing, swimming at the jewel of the area, The Basin, wildlife spotting and so it goes.
For those with their own boat up to 6m enjoy the use of a private mooring situated very conveniently in front of the property with the added convenience of a very good slipway for off loading. The use of the mooring needs some planning and although very likely it needs to be seen as an extra bonus rather than a key feature of the rental.
For those coming by land don't be daunted by the boat/ferry only access. It is this very aspect of Coasters that makes it so unique. It is hard to believe how a location that is so easy to access, but not by car, and so close to a major city has remained so unspoilt and undiscovered. It affords a real sense of remoteness, peace and quiet and the rich wildlife experience that you simply will not find on the mainland. We can arrange to stock the fridge and cupboards for you so that you don't have to worry about transporting heavy bags. We can also provide assistance with your luggage if you are staying over the weekend. Remember to travel light in the summer months because most of the time all you will need are your swimmers.
