Dangar Island is situated off the fishing hamlet of Brooklyn, just an hour by road or rail from the Sydney CBD. You can access the island by ferry or water taxi from Brooklyn, or park your own boat in the bay in front of the beach house.
The island is car free and often described as quirky. Swim, paddle, walk, fish, read, play, barefoot bowl, or just take in the beauty of the natural surrounds. The island offers a cafe open daily and a club with a restaurant open Thurs - Sun.
The house is situated right on Marcus Beach. It is best suited for families and couples. We have a maximum 8 guests, of which a maximum of six can be adults. The house has three bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and bathroom. There are also two portable single beds. The living room has a tv / lounge and separate sitting area. The Boathouse bedroom sits right by the water and has its own lounge and television area.
There are games, books, DVDs, radio, stereo, watercraft, life jackets, laundry facilities, a well equipped kitchen, dining table, BBQ, and indoor / outdoor living areas.
Bathroom towels and linen are provided. You need to bring your own beach towels. The kitchen is stocked with basic dry goods such as tea/coffee/spices etc.
The island is a quiet getaway. If you are planning a large party, please do not include this house in your plans.
