Watch the sunrise over the escarpment rising above the glorious Hawkesbury River and drift off to sleep to the rhythm of gently lapping waves. Come by ferry, water taxi or tinny to our jetty. Curl up with a book, bushwalk, birdwatch, throw in a line or stroll down to the cafe for coffee. Perfect for writers, artists, boaters, photographers and nature lovers. Recharge and make memories
A unique restored private cabin right on the water. Recent renovations have respected the character of this rustic cabin. The cabin has air-conditioning electric blankets, high-quality linen, ensuite bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, with full stove and cooktop, fridge, microwave and other appliances. There is a private balcony overlooking the river and downstairs another large shady deck with deck chairs where you can relax and hang out and a third small deck to the side which is like a little treehouse.

Interaction with guests
You will have the place to yourself and if we are not there we are only a text message or a call away.
Happy to have a chat about things to do and see on the Hawkesbury River or leave you to discover it all for yourselves. Our place is a long way up the hill from the Boatshed so you have your privacy.
Other things to note
We have fishing gear, a tandem kayak and life jackets that we have been known to share with guests who ask us very nicely : the kayak is very popular with guests - even in winter
The Boatshed has wifi, however, the signal strength varies from strong to abysmal. There is no TV but there is a Bluetooth tower so you can stream your music. The Boatshed is a place to unwind, disconnect and tune into the mesmerizing vista of the water and sky and the sounds of the birds, trees, and waves.
The kookaburras are gorgeous but very brazen and they think it's fine to share your meals
Your well behaved dog will have a great time So far 6 dogs have been out on the kayak:
