Erskineville is located about 2.5 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district and is part of the local government area of the City of Sydney. It has a small shopping strip around the railway station and several popular bars and hotels including the Rose of Australia, the Imperial Hotel, the Erskineville Hotel, the Swanson Hotel and the Hive Bar. Trains and buses:
Buses provide a service from Marrickville Metro shopping centre at Marrickville to Surry Hills and then onto Bondi Junction where you will find designer shopping at it’s best. This bus is the 355 which stops near the St. Peters train station, only a five minute walk from your front door at the end of King Street. This bus is the 355. If you want to go straight into the city you will need to catch the 308 or simply hop on the train with your Opal card that gives you access to all trains, buses and Sydney ferries.
