Ferndale Country Retreat offers delightful accommodation, magnificent views and a range of recreational facilities in a delightful bush setting overlooking the Hawkesbury River. Relax and enjoy the atmosphere in one or two bedroom cabins all with spectacular river or bush views. The cabins are surrounded by an abundance of flowering native plants which attract a wide variety of birds.
All cabins have their own bathrooms reverse cycle a/c, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is included in the tariff. Dinner is optional at extra cost,per-book only
On site we have a swimming pool tennis court, games room with billiards, table tennis and darts, and bicycles.
For those wishing to explore the area we can pack a picnic lunch for your enjoyment. As we are not licensed you are welcome to BYO. There are plenty of things to see and do in the area including golf, river cruises and wine tasting - all within an easy drive from Ferndale.
Ferndale is situated near the junction of the Colo & Hawkesbury Rivers and surrounded by national parks. The area is steeped in history of the early settlers including the oldest church in Australia at Ebenzer or the walk along the Old Northern Road constructed by convicts. Nearby Windsor contains the first observatory and the oldest pub in NSW, a wealth of antique shops to browse.
