Sunny apartment with view of Manly Harbour, less than 2 minutes from Delwood Beach, 3 minutes from Fairlight Beach with the harbour pool, and less than 10 minutes walk around the harbour to the harbour beach, with netted pool, and the Manly Ferry wharf.
The self-contained fully furnished apartment is ideal for a couple, or family, as the one bathroom is en-suite to the main bedroom.
There are three bedrooms, the main is large, and has queen size bed, 2nd is also large and has 2 singles, third is smaller, with some sloping attic walls, so trundle bed on wheels there. Fine for the extra child, or the afternoon nap. There is also a port-cot for toddler.
Everything you need is there: including continental breakfast goods, beach towels, beach toys, bathroom items, etc etc
Manly surf beach is then a few minutes walk along Manly's main street The Corso, and the walkway to Shelley Beach. Cafes again Shelley beach is great for picnics, swimming, its ocean, but protected by the headland, so gentle water for the children.as are the 3 harbour beaches within minutes of the apartment
Manly beach has 3 patrolled surfing areas, 'swim between the flags', and there are surfboards for hire.
Manly abounds with cafes and restaurants.
The self contained apartment is the top floor of my 110 year old Federation mansion. There are 3 bedrooms: main has queen bed, and the en-suite bathroom this is the only bathroom. The second bedroom is large: with 2 single beds, lounge, tv, and desk. Third bedroom is small, with sloping walls, like a room in the roof but you can stand up The bed is a trundle on wheels. There is also a porta cot, so sleeps 5 plus an infant or toddler. Also have a high chair and stroller.
The two large bedrooms have air-conditioners and ceiling fans.
The apartment is modernised for comfort, in keeping with the style of the house, with original features. The apartment has it's own entry door, and I live in the separate area downstairs. We both have privacy as there are double doors in the hallway separating our areas.
There are 5 skylights in the apartment as well as many windows, so it is bright and sunny. The view of the harbour from the eat- in sunroom is magic, and there is a lounge there to relax on after your busy day exploring beaches and cafes. T
The kitchen is small, but has everything you need, including a new electric stove, micro-wave, new pots and pans, tea, coffee, and other items for your convenience. There is no dishwasher. The laundry is down stairs, and available to use.
Continental breakfast goods are provided for your first days. Cereal, milk,whole grain and raisin bread, margarine, jams,Vegemite, fruit - first day. Much of this will do for your whole stay,
Manly harbour beaches are great for swimming, snoring, kids play, rock exploring, and relaxing. The Scenic Walkway 9ks between Manly and the Spit Bride is a bush walk of Australian trees and plants, and views of the harbour and beaches.There is a cafe at Clontarf park/beach, and another at North Harbour Reserve. Many people bus to the Spit Bridge and walk back to Manly. It takes between 2-3 hours, depending on your stops, for photos and snacks. Or you can just do as much as you feel like.
There are also the walks, views and military history at North Head, cafe there too
There is a bike hire shop near Manly Wharf for the fit/adventurous.
Manly Wharf has Aldi supermarket, and Coles supermarket is conveniently located on The Corso.
You don't need a car to explore Manly, Fairllight and the City; but if you do have one, there is off street parking in my garage. If your car is a very high top jeep style it won't fit in the garage: check it out when you get here. If that's the case I have parking permit fior unlimited street parking. You have to go around the block depending on the time of day. Because of the sought after location with the beaches and ferry, its popular
