GENERAL COMMENTS: Milsons Passage is a small and peaceful river settlement of only 40 residences located 10mins upstream from the Hawkesbury River Road Bridge. Whilst part of the mainland, the community has no vehicular access due to being surrounded by the pristine Muogamarra Nature Reserve, which only opens to the public in springtime for guided bushwalks. Access to Nor Easter is via private boat or water taxi. The property is located 2 houses south of the public wharf, in the middle of the settlement. Milsons Passage is connected to city electricity and telephone. Rain water is collected in tanks, so please kindly observe water restrictions and use water sparingly. Milsons Passage has a garbage collection service on Tuesday morning, so please leave your rubbish in a fastened garbage bag at the end of the jetty at no. 20, with $3.80 for each bag (leave money in jar if possible). Please be considerate of your neighbours when leaving, as they are also here to enjoy the tranquility. Remember - noise travels across the water.

DESCRIPTION: Bathed in North-East sunshine, the property presents as an unassuming original fisherman's cottage which belies the fresh interior, featuring blackbutt flooring throughout and renovated kitchen and bathroom, with bath and shower. Bounded by the river at the front, a vacant lot to the south, National Park to the rear, and screened by garden to the North, the house is remarkably private and enjoys magnificent water views. Wonderful 4 metre wide floor to ceiling glass doors invite you to the large deck, which is only a few steps from the water's edge. From here you can watch the postal boat pull in daily, feed the native birds or just monitor the rise and fall of the tide. Take a stroll along the water's edge, or enjoy a gentle bush walk along the fire-trail at the rear of the settlement, or perhaps a more arduous hike up to the plateau, where you will discover a magnificent vista, if you can find the secret trail along which the orchard farmers once trekked their produce up to Old Peats Ferry Road. Make use of the kayaks to explore the river environment. Other features include: private jetty with excellent mooring facilities; wood burning combustion fireplace; covered rear patio with BBQ, TV (no reception); DVD player (with plenty of DVDs to chose from); CD stereo; 2 bedrooms, 1x Queen and 2x singles (trundle). Bring your fishing gear as there's excellent fishing off the wharf. The property is unfenced, so non-swimming children require life jackets. BYO linen, food and beverages.

DIRECTIONS / CAR PARKING: Drive direct to Brooklyn from Sydney via F3 (Newcastle) Freeway and exit at the Mooney turn off, or take the Pacific Hwy. Pick up keys from the office between 2-4pm. (Arrangements can be made to leave the keys at the Hotel or Water Taxi if required). We suggest you pre-arrange a water taxi to take you direct to the property. Keys must be returned to our office on day of departure.
