There's nothing like a relaxing alfresco meal in one of the picturesque parks with superb facilities that include free BBQs, picnic shelters and shade areas, walking trails, cycle paths, playgrounds and playful fountains that encourage you to get wet - just for the fun of it

The Park is an urban biodiversity hotspot with significant habitats for hundreds of species of plants, birds, frogs, bats, reptiles and fish. Amongst the protected wetlands and woodlands you can bird watch, spot endangered frogs such as the endangered Green and Golden Bell frog, or just de-stress in the cool green calmness under the trees.

Our penthouse is within leisure walk or short cycling to lots of parks including Archery Park, Bicentennial Park, Blaxland Riverside Park, Cathy Freeman Park, Fig Grove, Newington Armory, Wentworth Common, etc.


Cycling around Sydney Olympic Park

Sydney Olympic Park is a seriously great place to ride your bike. The 35km of cycling pathways perfect for the whole family, BMXers, and racing and training cyclists take you through spectacular parklands. You can also pass Olympic icons, shipwrecks, wildlife, art and more along the way. And if you don’t own a bike, simply hire one

Anyone aged 5 years or more 7+ years for the River Heritage Circuit can choose from three safe Bike Safari Circuits see below, depending on their riding ability and what fun things they would like to see. There is also the Children’s Loop located in Bicentennial Park.

Olympic Circuit, 7.7km 50 mins – Starting at Olympic Park Station, take a journey past state-of-the-art Olympic icons. Marvel at the breathtaking architecture of former Olympic venues, view the Olympic Cauldron at Sydney Olympic Park in Cathy Freeman Park, and check out the Games Memories installation – a tribute to the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Cap off your cycle at one of the many eateries. Moderate difficulty flat with optional climbs.

Parklands Circuit, 5.5km 60 mins – A must-see for nature lovers, this circuit begins in the tranquil atmosphere of Bicentennial Park. Ride around the edge of picturesque Lake Belvedere and take advantage of fabulous barbecue, picnic facilities and kids learn-to-ride loops. The trail continues to the Badu Mangroves boardwalk showcasing this amazing marine ecosystem. Ride on to the Bird Hide and Waterbird Refuge – a highlight for bird lovers – and look out for the historic shipwrecks which now rest in the bay. Low difficulty flat terrain.

River Heritage Circuit, 11.1km 70 mins – Meandering along the scenic Parramatta River, this circuit takes in the naval heritage precinct Newington Armory and neighbouring woodlands. The trail continues through wetlands, home to frog and bird habitats, passing by the green community of Newington and the former athletes village of the Sydney 2000 Games. To finish on a high, rise to the challenge and climb one of the wonderful vantage points. Follow the gentle rise to the top of Wool-la-ra or ride up the spiral trail of the Haslam’s Creek Marker. With panoramic views of the entire Park and city skyline, this ride is well worth the effort Moderate difficulty flat with optional climbs.
