Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very relaxing part of the world! We had a great stay on Scotland Island, such a quiet and peaceful place. Mary and Ken were great hosts and mainly left us to ourselves which was perfect. Positives: The house was perfectly positioned looking straight out at the inlet, like a postcard and it's super quiet. Mary and Ken are great and even cooked us a pizza as a snack, the fridge is also well stocked with breakfast items (bread, butter, eggs, avocado, bacon etc), chocolates, snacks and the cupboard has the essentials like oil, salt and pepper. Negatives (and I'm being really picky): The only negative for us was the shared kitchen. This meant that the hosts would sometimes be in their house whilst you are which (and this is probably a personal preference) meant we couldn't totally relax as we felt we were intruding (Mary and Ken never made us feel this way - this is just how we felt because it is actually the host home and not a holiday rental).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weekend Bliss! Struggled between keeping our amazing weekend in Scotland island to ourselves or sharing for others to enjoy. From the moment we arrived here, it was like we were in another country - the house/boathouse/island/food/everything were beyond our expectations. Mary catered to our every need and more - between baking fresh bread, lunch and dinner waiting for us, to even a birthday cake for my boyfriend. We left the island so relaxed, and will be back for sure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from magical property! A magical stay at a beautiful property. Nothing was too much for Mary and Ken to make us feel right at home in their beautiful waterfront house. From picking us up and dropping us off from the mainland via their own boat to their own private wharf, to the roaring outdoor fireplace which warmed our wintery bones, to the delicious food including the surprise chocolate cake baked especially for my birthday, nothing was too much and every detail was attended to by Mary and Ken to make our stay memorable and special. The sunrise from the accommodation is also spectacular and not to be missed! Beautiful walks abound in the nearby Karingai-Chase national park with amazing views across Pittwater, revealing the utter uniqueness and wonder of this special part of Australia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sublime! I like the unique and memorable. I want to know that I'm somewhere special. So, wherever I travel in the world, I always look for those hidden accommodation gems. We definitely found that at Skye Cottage. Mary and Ken made us feel welcome, even before we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious! And, their home, is straight out of a designer magazine with a wonderful view of the bay. But, filled with hand picked items from all over the world, it welcomes and makes you feel at home too. Scotland Island is beautiful and we were greeted and welcomed by everyone we met. A wonderful gem, just 10 minutes from the mainland, and not far from the rest of Sydney.
