There's nothing quite like this in Darwin. An elevated tropical house; a secluded location; a short walk to the ocean; and a few minutes from Darwin CBD by car or public transport. We are located at the end of a cul-de-sac a stone's throw from the mangroves surrounded by architect-designed properties set in large tropical gardens.
The apartment is self-contained. You'll have your own separate entrance to the east wing of a large elevated tropical house with established garden and expansive decks. My partner and I, along with our friendly German Short-haired Pointer Bruno, occupy the rest of the house. You'll have your own private kitchen, bathroom, and balcony, and you'll share the pool and the grounds with us when we're around. Shared laundry facilities are also available downstairs.
The apartment has one bedroom with a queen size bed. The living room, which has bifold doors opening onto the balcony, has a sofa bed. This means that, while the apartment comfortably sleeps 1 or 2, it can comfortably accommodate 3 people for overnight stays, with the lounge/living area functioning temporarily as a second bedroom.
This is the perfect place if you're looking for a quiet retreat to unwind in after a few days out bush, or a busy day in Darwin exploring the sights or attending a conference.
I work from home, my research focussing on the documentation of Aboriginal languages of Northwestern Arnhem Land. I have knowledge and experience of Aboriginal culture and of some remote areas of the Northern Territory which I'm happy to share if you're planning trips to National Parks such as Kakadu or Cobourg Peninsula.
