Your own self contained cottage set amongst a tropical garden. If you want to get away for a weekend or need a base to visit Jumping Crocodile cruises on Adelaide River, Windows on the Wetland, Fogg Dam, Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks. This is an place to stay. You can easily do day trips from here and return to your own little oasis.
This is our family property we are 35km out of Darwin in the 'Rural Area'. We live on the block and the HomeStay is a separate cottage fully self contained.
The Cottage is quirky and original. With one airconditioned bedroom that has a Queen and Pull out single bed. There is a TV with DVD in the bedroom and out in the living area. The shade cloth enclosed verandah has a small yet fully functional kitchen with a lounge area with three lounges. One of which makes up into a comfortable double bed. This is area is fan cooled. All of this overlooks your own private garden with outdoor living area. You can cook on the BBQ and eat outdoor with a full sized dining setting and living area.
The bathroom is fully renovated and semi-detached, adding an unique atmosphere. There is a washing machine and your own clothes line.
Feel free to walk around our five acres and visit Monica our cow whilst being accompanied by Gypsy and Angus our too friendly small dog's. The chooks will come and visit, feel free to feed them. The birds are active during the day, whilst possums, bats and other wildlife are frequent visitors. We are registered Land for Wildlife Members.
If you want to cool down there is the 30foot inground pool. A perfect way to relax down after a day of sightseeing.
Wet Season (October-May) - we suggest the cottage is only suitable to sleep up to 3 people in the air-conditioned bedroom. As the humidity is very high during the build up it can be uncomfortable sleeping in the fan cooled living area.
