Lone Pine Lodgings is located in the leafy suburb of Ashgrove 10 minutes by car from Brisbane's CBD or 20 minutes by bus located just outside the door. This beautiful fully self contained apartment is tastefully decorated with original art works ( not painted by the owner so they are actually beautiful) hanging on either the crisp white walls of the bedrooms or the simple timber panelled feature wall of the lounge room.

Comprising a full sized master bedroom with queen size bed and a second bedroom with both a double and a single bed. Large wardrobes with hanging space and shelves in both rooms have plenty of space for either a short or long term stay. Bedrooms are air conditioned for your comfort.

The couch sits in front of a TV that has Foxtel Platinum available providing both movies and music with seating for 6 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with European oven and gas cook top along with a microwave and family size fridge with a full size dining table for both you and any visitors you may decide to entertain during your stay. The bathroom is made up of three rooms, a large walk-in shower room, separate toilet and a room with twin bowl bathroom vanity.

We welcome pets by agreement and there is a fully fenced section of the garden available for your exclusive use and where your pets can be safely contained. If they are getting along with our animals then the gate can be left open as you choose.

Facilities for kids include a foldaway bed, portacot and a high chair all available by arrangement. There is a swing set, chickens to discover and the garden is fully fenced and secure - its a very kid-friendly environment. Please feel free to chat about any specific requirements - we're happy to help.

If things are going to be busy for you or you’d just like that extra bit of relaxation and time off from normal life, we offer breakfast baskets and evening meals by arrangement. The 'Man of the house' was a chef in a former life so we are happy to chat with you about what you would like.

The apartment is part of our family home, a renovated 1940's Queenslander that was the original homestead when the area was just rolling hills filled with dairy cattle. Perched on the top of a hill the afternoon breezes are wonderful in what is now one of Brisbane's most sought after areas for real estate.

As the apartment is fully self contained but part of a family home please be aware that the laughter of 8 year old twins may pervade the air during the day; along with a occasional bark from Beni the family dog (a small cavoodle). Our tree- shrouded garden is also home to 4 chickens and if you take up a seat in our family hammock are a truly calming thing to behold as they wander around the yard.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Full of Dust - Not Cleaned Disappointing This is an overrated property. We went there based on the reviews. Unfortunately, the property was full of dust and our family got sick due to dust. I took few photos and notify to owner first day. They claimed that their cleaners may have missed the cleaning and their vacuum cleaner wasn't working. It wasn't the case really. The property wasn't cleaned before we arrived. The two bed rooms were full of dust, as same as the living room and it seems that no body was there for a long time and the owners didn't clean the apartment at all. I complained twice for the owners and they only cleaned the TV cabinet and praised about their high rated reviews. Please make sure that reviews are accurate, as my stay wasn't pleasant and very frustrating. This property is not recommended.I wish I could post the photos of dust to see how bad was that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great place for Families We were in need of a comfortable home away from home for a week while our children did a course at Stafford. This property suited our every need. Comfortable place away from the rushing city but close enough that we could access some great shopping and the course venue. Thank you for being so caring and kind to us during our stay Gareth and Kate. Hope to see you again soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfectly quiet and comfortable stay The Lone Pine Lodge is perfect for a family that wants more space than a hotel room, with the added benefit of pet-friendly environment. The apartment was very well appointed with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Both bedrooms were spacious and well appointed. Foxtel premium was a great touch offering plenty of movies for our kids. I was initially dubious about renting an apartment that was part of a family home (my first time), but instantly found that the apartment was a step up from most places I have stayed, and Kate and Gareth could not have been more helpful, while at the same time respecting our privacy. We would return in a heartbeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Accomodation The host is wonderful - warm friendly and provides very good communication. The property is VERY large for an under house 2 bedroom flat with private entry. Very well located near major cross roads and local amenities. Very very clean and nicely appointed - HIGHLY recommend this property.
