The house is opposite the bustling Kelvin Grove urban village, which is home to Queensland University Technology QUT, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and nightlife. On Saturday mornings there is the vibrant Blamey Street market.
The village has a theater La Boite and an indoor swimming pool.
Southbank and the Performing Arts/Cultural areas is just a 5 minute drive. Or take a bus that's just on the main road.
The area has parks and bushland. There is the grassed areas of the urban village and the nearby Victoria Park Golf Course 500m from house.
For the kids there is a small park and playground at the village and an indoor playground on Newmarket Rd.
