Latrobe Haven is a beautifully renovated "golden oldie" with all the modern conveniences expected in today's hectic lifestyles, yet retaining the warmth and period detail of traditional Queensland homes, including VJ walls. Leafy surrounds help you feel like you are in a park. A stunning vista of our beautiful Brisbane from the balcony and bedroom, particularly at night, remind you of how close to the city you really are.

A stylish and functional kitchen features the full complement of cutlery, crockery, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher and the all-important washing machine!The open-plan lounge/dining area with fans links to a verandah with park-like views of the surrounding area and garden. A stylish bathroom which includes both a shower and bath has all you need to relax after a hard day out. The main bedroom has a reverse-cycle airconditioner to warm or cool the room and leads out onto the balcony with city views.

Latrobe Haven is the upstairs unit of two, one up, one down (hence the view!). Both have completely separate entrances with no internal stairs.

Parking: On-street parking is available on the street above the house. There is no charge and there is always space available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Value in Brisbane Together with my wife and two children we recently enjoyed a 4 night stay at this accomodation during which we were continually impressed. We'd just driven 8 hours from Rockhampton and feeling a little fatigued and unsure about the details of its location, what could we expect to find, or even how were we going to get in etc, when a most timely and comprehensive sms arrived from the owner addressing our every question. Throughout the stay and even following it, the owner was always as close a a text away to answer our concerns in a most timely fashion and always so very graciously. Upon arriving it was very evident that oir accomodatio had been cleaned and prepared for our stay with a high degree of attention. The kitchen, toilet, bathroom etc were all really clean and well-provisioned for our stay. It was so thoughtful to have had some basic food provisions bread, milk, condiments etc already there in the kitchen for us, saving us the need to have to go out again to get them straight away after a long car journey. The furnishings were very tasteful, good quality stuff, not of the cheap, temporary kind at all. My wife and I loved the super-comfortable 4 post bed and my children had there own double beds in there own room which is guaranteed to be well received by an 11 year old girl and a 14 year old boy who both want comfort and privacy. Its location is very convenient, with a well established shopping centre and eating places nearby, Boondall Entertainment Centre really close, and the CBD and Southbank an easy commute by train which suited our plans perfectly. It was a pleasure to stay here and we will definitely be back for more stays in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Value for Money Good value for money with plenty of room for my family and a fabulous view of Brisbane city from the balcony. A lovely suburb with many beautifully restored old Queenslander houses. There are also many specialty shops and entertainment and eating options. Comfortable walking shoes are essential to take advantage of the many parks and hilly streets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We stayed there for 5 nights. It was probably the best accommodation we have had in the last two years. We were stunned about the cleanness and the well maintained building. We absolutely missed nothing. Everything was provided from towel to dishwasher. Everything was complete and in good working order. A really self contained accommodation. The property itself is located in a quiet street with a bus stop just a few steps away. The bus(es) there are heading to the CBD, passing Paddington shops and cafes, which are in good walking distance anyway.Managers service was fantastic. Going through step by step from enquiry to move in, they responded to all questions and requests very fast. We are satisfied in all aspects.Conclusion:Many 1000 thanks for making a short holiday break so comfortable. We will consider Latrobe Haven again and as first thing. Other accommodation providers or even recidential landlords can follow Latrobe Haven's example for a decent "home". Good on ya' guys. Keep it up!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice property. We stayed for 3 weeks and enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable and clean with a good view of the city's skyline. Adrian the owner was very helpful and was always their to answer and help us out with city directions. Many shops and a grocery store within walking distance,and 2 minutes away from the bus stop.I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Brisbane.
