Description

Great budget accommodation Have the entire house to yourself. Enjoy comfort at backpacker / campsite prices. Please note, due to hosting expenses, the minimum booking is 5 days.

Dahlia Cottage is discounted accommodation as the cottage is an older style character home and some updates need to be made, however, it is self contained, clean, familiar and comforting with a classic retro feel. It is 3 bedrooms with a Tasmanian oak timber kitchen, dining area, spacious lounge, bathroom with shower and bath and a large tiled laundry with a top loader washing machine and electric clothes dryer and ironing facilities all for your convenience. The lounge and 2 bedrooms have reverse cycle air-con.

Full kitchen with, induction cooker, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, full size fridge, freezer, convection oven, microwave, sink, cutlery including bottle openers, can openers, corkscrews, pots, pans and crockery. Suitable for 5 people

Dahlia Cottage is well located, central to everything, in the popular inner city suburb of Cannon Hill. It has a lovely large private back yard with a kids timber cubby house and small library of DVD's, books and magazines to use at your leisure in wet weather.

Located in a quiet, friendly, neighbourhood with trees and birds. 50m from the local convenience store, open till late with hot chooks roasted chickens, chips and coffee and pretty much anything else you need to buy in a hurry.

Dahlia Cottage has one double bed and 3 single beds. You can hire linen and towels or bring your own if you prefer. You can also hire high chairs and cots if needed.

A short 7 minute drive to the Brisbane CBD in off peak times.

Approximately 200m from the Seven Hills Bushland Reserve walking tracks. Only a few minutes drive to the Oxford street Bulimba cafe strip, movies, Carindale shopping, the Gabba Wooloongabba stadium, the Mater Hospital, South Bank and the Chandler Sleeman Sports Complex - Brisbane Aquatic Centre.

Approximately 3 kilometers to the local public Colmslie Swimming Pool and State Hockey Centre, Lytton Road, in Morningside, which has a large indoor and outdoor lap pool and a kids play pool.

Just over the Gateway bridge from the Brisbane airport, Portside cafe's and cinema's and DFO, easy access to the Gateway motorway to the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

The Southgate Corporate Park is approximately 2 km from Dahlia Cottage.

Close to Public Transport - Easy access to Brisbane city - Zone 2

Cannon Hill is in Zone 2 for public transport.

It is approximately a 1.2 km walk to the Cannon Hill Train Station which is on the Cleveland line. The train ride to Brisbane City takes approximately 25 minutes to get to Central Station which is 9 stops away. To get to South Bank or the Cultural Centre it takes about 20 minutes.

To catch the local bus to Brisbane City it is approximately a 300 m walk to the city bus which goes past the Wooloongabba Stadium, through the busway tunnel, stopping at the Mater Hill stop - next to the Mater Hospitals, South Bank - access to the lovely Parkland's, restaurants and bars and the Queensland Cultural Centre, then it takes you into the heart of Brisbane City.

Your other bus option is to walk a little further - about 1 km to catch the bus that will take you over the Story Bridge into Brisbane Riverside to the lovely restaurants and bars on the Brisbane river in the city.

Mater Hospital

The Mater Hospital is an easy 9 km drive or bus trip from Dahlia Cottage. We can offer you a longer term special rate if you are a family that is in a situation where you need to be within a close distance to the Mater Hospital.
