Upstairs the highlight of the house is an open plan area with a huge country kitchen containing all the mod cons for a comfortable stay, a breakfast bar, dining and lounge area all with water views opening onto the deck.
If you really must work there is a large office with plenty of storage and a private verandah.
The master bedroom is full of light with a queen-size bed, big built in robes, water views and doors opening to the deck.
The deck is a great outdoor living space, fully screened, with an 8 person dining suite and BBQ all overlooking the beach.
This level also has a large shower room decorated in beachy blue tones.
Downstairs is perfect for the children. There is a large rumpus room with built in kitchenette/bar area and 2 good sized bedrooms.
The rumpus room and one of the bedrooms have more water views and doors leading out to a second fully screened deck overlooking the water.
Each bedroom downstairs has a double and a single bed so there's loads of sleeping space.
The bathroom on this level has a bath with an overhead shower, lovely to soak in after a tough day doing nothing.
Macleay Island is sheltered in the vast marine park of Moreton Bay. It is rich in native flora and fauna, edged with mangrove foreshores and sandy beaches, providing respite

To reach the island you catch a water taxi or vehicle barge from the seaside suburb of Redland Bay.
The Water taxi is located at the southern end of Banana St. It takes approximately 15 minutes to reach Macleay Island. Ph; for timetable information and fares.
The Vehicle Barge to Macleay Island is approximately an hour from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Located at Weinham St. It takes approximately 40 minutes to reach the island.
