Winship City Cottage has been transformed from an original workers cottage to a charming inner city residence.

The original cottage contains the double bedroom, living room as well as a front veranda and separate toilet and shower room. This area has been tastefully modernised with high ceilings and chandeliers.

This area can be closed off from the rest of the house, which allows guests privacy if sharing with friends.

The TV and kitchen area is at the back of the original cottage. A french styled kitchen with black and white floors is fully equipped with everything need to enjoy your stay.

There is off street parking for one car in a carport. A courtyard is attached and provides entry to the house through the kitchen.

The new extension which has been built at the back of the house contains 2 Queen size bedrooms, main bathroom with bath and shower. As well there is a single bedroom which leads off both main rooms.

The extension has great air flow through many louvered windows and each room has a ceiling fan.

The house has been decorated with stylish furniture and is beautifully appointed.

The yard is fully fenced however it is not a back yard which is particularly animal friendly as it is on a steep hill. There is an enclosed veranda and courtyard. The street is a no through road and it is one of Red Hill's steep side streets. It is very quiet and there are no traffic noises only the sounds of the neighbourhood birds.

Red Hill/ Paddington Area

The city is close by and walking distance for the young and/or fit. There is a bus stop at the top of the street and the ride to town is 5- 10 minutes.

Within walking distance from the cottage there is a great selection of restaurants, coffee shops, take away foods and convenience store.

The Paddington Shopping Area is a couple of streets away and there you find a multitude of specialty shops and restaurants.

For your added security, this property is only managed in Australia and we never request payments be made to overseas bank accounts.

Bookings more than 6 months in advance will be considered on an individual basis. Generally the booking would need to be for minimum of 2 weeks. Though if your dates adjoin an existing booking, it will be considered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super comfy cottage ! We loved the convenient location and great dining places very close by. Cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The steep road, which was very well explained to us before arriving, was initially a challenge but became quite the norm by the time we left for home :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous stay in excellent property We stayed at Winship Cottage for 17 nights and found the cottage to be very clean, comfortable and convenient. The owner has excellent communication and thoughtfully provides some nice touches such as a coffee machine, quality linen and towels and every appliance we needed (washing machine, dryer, dishwasher etc.) as well as a stash of the basics (toilet paper, soap, toiletries etc). A soft toy and children's posters were in the single bedroom to welcome our 5 year old. The cottage is on a very steep street just off the main road into the city and you can walk to local restaurants, cafes, the Paddo strip and lovely Woolcock park which is adjacent to a creek and across the road from a dog park. The downside is that the steep hill is a bit confronting for car parking at first (but we got used to it) and if you are not physically fit, it is a massive effort to walk up the hill. The upside is that you will get fit whilst enjoying the inner city convenience and because the hill blocks all traffic noise from the main road - it was an extremely peaceful and quiet location. It is two doors from an inner city farm which was a constant source of amazement for our 5 year old and we enjoyed the sounds of chickens, roosters and local birds (we saw lots of lovely kookaburras). Our large dog stayed with us at the cottage and had several different spots where he could laze in the sun or shade and be secure and he was permitted inside the house on the hard floor areas (not on the carpeted areas). The backyard is steep and rocky and only really suitable for the dog to pop out for a toilet stop (not to hang out all day). The owner is very accommodating and is a realist when it comes to pets which meant we could enjoy our stay with the whole "family". Thank you to the owner - we will miss our little cottage.

Although the original cottage is old the additional accommodation has been thoughtfully done.There are several areas where you can sit together or alone depending on your needs!Facilities were excellent - dishwasher, laundry etc.Owner was available by phone/text and responded quickly when the smoke alarm needed attentionClose to bus stop for a 10 minute ride into CityHave no hesitation recommending this property

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fantastic location for a short visit or extended stay. The cottage is only a 15 minute walk from the heart of Brisbane City. Kitchen and bedrooms hold every necessary convenience and fantastic WIFI to have an enjoyable stay. I would stay here again if in Brisbane and recommend it to anyone!
