The building is one of only a handful of heritage listed warehouses in Brisbane. The building has retained the original facade, and internal structural beams that give it old world charm with NYC-like style. The floor plan is in the photos and you will see there is plenty of space. The apartment has high ceilings and the living area has a huge window to let in plenty of natural Queensland sunshine. There is a Queen bed in 2 rooms & 2 single beds in the 3rd room. Full size rollaway beds available for 6+ guests at an extra chargenot ideal for adults, foam mattress The stairs between the 2 levels are steep and a little narrow and may be difficult for elderly people. The kitchen is fully self contained with everything you need to cook a gourmet meal after stocking up on fresh produce from the weekly Jan Powers Farmers' markets a 15 minute walk along the river - or from the nearby Gasworks Plaza. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, oven, grill, hotplates, toaster and kettle. We don't live here and have furnished it with the aim of satisfying our guests to the best of our ability.
You'll have access to the whole place - make yourself comfortable. The complex has a pool and secure car parking. The parking isn't generous in size so if you have a large car and parking isn't one of your skills - it may be tight. There is plenty of on-street parking, and guest parking around the back though. Teneriffe is in the inner city of Brisbane, located just 2.5 kilometres 1.6 mi north-east of the CBD.
Everything is on your doorstep with the hottest restaurants, cafes and boutiques all only minutes away. Gasworks Plaza perfect for you to do some grocery shopping at Woolworths is nearby as is James Street shopping if gourmet food is more your style - then the James St markets are not to be missed and cafe/restaurant precinct, Southbank, Fortitude Valley, Suncorp Stadium, Chinatown and the CBD. A short walk away is the iconic Brisbane Powerhouse museum, New Farm Park and on weekends the Jan Powers Farmers Market. The park attracts visitors from near and far with its perfect riverside picnic spots, cycling loops and tree house-style adventure playground.
The building has a parking spot if you have a car and across the road is a stop for Brisbane's fast CityCat ferry service. The CityCat runs up and down the Brisbane river between Northshore Hamilton and the University of Queensland. They run every 15 minutes and more frequently during peak times. They are exceptionally quick and are a great way to see the city. It is also only a 5 minute walk to the public bus stop which has buses every 10 minutes and will take you into the city in under 20 minutes. The airport can be accessed via a short bus ride to the train station and then using the Airtrain. Baggage storage isn’t available unfortunately. Early checkin or late checkout may be available at an extra charge though without booking the extra day we may not be able to confirm until 24 hours prior - let us know when you’re booking though and we’ll see what we can do.
