Redlands Retreat is a very large home in Brisbane's bayside suburb of Thornlands. The property suits one or more families who want to spend time in a house not a unit when on holiday or a short stay while they are moving into the area; guests can bring their pet with them if they choose to for a reasonable fee and a pet bond. The home has 6 bedrooms, including one king size master bedroom with ensuite, one queen size bed, double bed with adjoining room with futon and downstairs ensuite, two upstairs rooms with twin beds, a toddler bed and rollaway. There are numerous living areas and a large kitchen, with stainless steel fridge, dishwasher and microwave. The laundry has a front loading washing machine and dryer. There are 3 split systems as well as ceiling fans in all upstairs bedrooms and downstairs living rooms. Outside is a huge pool, which is available for use from September to the end of March. There is a double garage, additional room for 2 cars in the driveway, as well as room for a boat. The yard is fully fenced and suits outside dogs. We can accomodate some other pets on discussion. Flooring is porcelain tile and wood, so no carpet for allergy sufferers. We do supply access to wi-fi, but not unlimited data.
The area of Thornlands sits between Cleveland and Victoria Point. Cleveland is the end of the Cleveland train line and also the venue of numerous sporting and cultural events throughout the year. The ferry to Stradbroke Island leaves from Cleveland and there is the famous Cleveland Point and the Grandview Hotel to visit (oldest pub in Brisbane). Raby Bay beaches are 5 minutes away, or just find a fishing spot somewhere on Moreton Bay. The Bay has been the backdrop for numerous movies and most recently the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie. In the opposite direction is Victoria Point, where you can catch a ferry to Coochimudlo Island or do some shopping. Redland Bay is 10 minutes away, where you can travel by ferry to one of the Islands-visit Russell, Macleay or Lamb Islands.
