Redlands Retreat is a very large home in Brisbane's bayside suburb of Thornlands near Cleveland. The property suits one or more families who want to spend time in a house, not a unit, when on holiday or on a short stay basis while they are moving into the area; guests can bring their pet with them if they choose to for a reasonable fee and a pet bond. The home has 7 bedrooms, upstairs has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upstairs rooms include: one king size master bedroom with ensuite, one queen size bed, two bedrooms with twin single beds 2 single beds in each room, and a fold down futon in the upstairs living space. Downstairs has one room with a double bed with an adjoining bedroom with daybed and downstairs bathroom access two separate bedrooms that may be open or closed off; there is also another bedroom with a double bed. All bedrooms are a good size. There are numerous living areas and a large kitchen, with stainless steel fridge, dishwasher and microwave. The laundry has a front loading washing machine and a dryer is in the garage and there are two large outside washing lines. There are 3 split systems downstairs, including in 2 of the bedrooms; there are ceiling fans in all upstairs bedrooms and downstairs living rooms. There is ducted air-conditioning upstairs. Outside is a huge pool, which is available for use from September to the end of March. There is a double garage with direct house entry, additional room for 2 cars in the driveway, as well as room for a boat. The yard is fully fenced and suits outside dogs. We can accomodate some other pets on discussion. Flooring is porcelain tile and wood, so no carpet for allergy sufferers. We do supply access to wi-fi, but not unlimited data.
The area of Thornlands sits between Cleveland and Victoria Point. Cleveland is the end of the Cleveland train line and also the venue of numerous sporting and cultural events throughout the year. The ferry to Stradbroke Island leaves from Cleveland and there is the famous Cleveland Point and the Grandview Hotel to visit oldest pub in Brisbane. Raby Bay beaches are 5 minutes away, or just find a fishing spot somewhere on Moreton Bay. The Bay has been the backdrop for numerous movies and most recently the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie. In the opposite direction is Victoria Point, where you can catch a ferry to Coochimudlo Island or do some shopping. Redland Bay is 10 minutes away, where you can travel by ferry to one of the Islands-visit Russell, Macleay or Lamb Islands.
