We encourage you to make yourself at home and enjoy all that The Grand Barron Lodge has to offer. The impressive communal living/dining area has an abundance of space for guests to relax and enjoy, a fully equipped kitchen is waiting for you to cook up some culinary delights. In the winter guests can keep cosy & warm in front of a log fire. Breathtaking views of the Barron River await you on the terrace as you relax and entertain in the various outdoor seating/dining areas surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest. Guests have access to all features of the house, including; the fully equipped kitchen, terrace, BBQ, piano, Kayak, WiFi etc. Guests can access the river via a path from the house to take a refreshing swim no crocs or have fun in the Kayak
We welcome guests to enjoy a complimentary light breakfast; tea, coffee, juice and a variety of cereals, bread, jams and a platter of fresh seasonal fruits are laid out in the communal kitchen each morning.
CHILDREN We welcome children over the ages of 8 years old, however parents/guardians must be aware of the potential risks and must supervise children at all times. Due to the structure and location of the property we are unable to accommodate children under 8 years old. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this policy.
Grand Suite: accessed from the main veranda by a private staircase. This chic room has 1 King size bed and 1 single bed with the option to add an additional single mattress if required. The bedroom opens out on to a private veranda with kitchen facilities, a dinning area and river views. The adjoining bathroom has a large shower/bath with garden views.
Victoria room: accessed from the front of the house this room is charming and elegant, the King size and single bed an additional single mattress can be added if required layout is perfect for couples, families or friends. This room has a large en-suite bathroom and comfy sofa with patio doors opening out on to a shared patio area with garden and river views.
Jane Room: accessed from the front of the house this room is light, fresh and airy, it features a Queen size bed and opens out on to a shared patio area with garden and river views. A single mattress can be added if required. A shared toilet and shower room is only a few meters away from the room.
Grace Room: accessed via the communal living and dining area this cosy room has beautiful garden views and large windows to let in the fresh rainforest air. The comfy Queen size bed will guarantee you a perfect nights sleep. A shared toilet and shower room can be found just off the shared terrace.

Our nearest village, 10kms away is Kuranda, this small rainforest village is a natural beauty with plenty of attractions and activities for you to enjoy. Guests can visit the impressive Barron Falls, ride the scenic railway, get involved with the vibrant arts and crafts culture and soak up the relaxed atmosphere of the local markets and exciting wildlife parks.
As we are the first stop on your way to the Atherton Tablelands and Tropical North Queensland there is an abundance of activities, nature and culture for you to experience further afield. We welcome you to use Grand Barron Lodge as a base for your exploration of this unique region, as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city or to entertain your family and friends in your own little piece of paradise.
