From the Cairns International Airport, you can hire a car or take the bus along the Captain Cook Highway to the Port Douglas Road. Travel time is 1 hour, heading north from the airport. The scenery is spectacular and it’s worth indulging in a stop or two along the way to get a few snapshots.
