Port Douglas is situated an hour's drive from Cairns. You meander along the Captain Cook Highway taking in some spectacular scenery and coastline, with lush mountains on one side and the Barrier Reef on the other. You will certainly enjoy the short drive to Port Douglas.

Upon reaching Port Douglas you are at the doorstep of two World Heritage listed places, the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. These magical destinations will have you losing yourself within their beauty and uniqueness.

Port Douglas is a small town with a great village atmosphere and a small population of 3500 locals. The village feel will have you believing that everyone knows each other and they most likely do. Macrossan Street, the main street of Port Douglas, is the centre and heart of Port Douglas village life, with boutique shopping, cosmopolitan arts and crafts, world class restaurants.

Courthouse Apartments is situated on Macrossan Street, behind one of the oldest operating and still most popular hotels in Port Douglas. The Courthouse Hotel is a classic Queensland colonial structure with wide verandas running its length, overlooking Dickson Inlet and the Cassowary Range. It is a place where locals and visitors meet for a quiet meal or drink, often with live acoustic music adding to the atmosphere, but not intruding on your conversation.

At the other end of Macrossan Street is the spectacular Four Mile Beach. That is within easy walking distance, where you can lie on the beach and kick back, or take the kids for a dip.

Courthouse Apartments is ideally situated for the traveller who wants the convenience and ease of being in the centre of all that Port Douglas has to offer. If you wish to walk to the shops, stroll to a cafe or restaurant, or just meander to the beach, everything is within easy reach at the Courthouse Apartments.

2 Bedroom Spa Apartment

For the family or couples sharing, wishing a central location with easy access to all that Port Douglas offers, Courthouse Apartments can offer a 2 bedroom spa apartment in the heart of Port Douglas.

Courthouse Apartments are a dual key apartment. This means that you have a hotel room + 1 bedroom apartment, combining to form a 2 bedroom apartment. This combined 2 bedroom apartment offers the following :

1 Bedroom spa apartment Bedroom 1

The 1 bedroom spa apartment is fully self contained with stove top, microwave, toaster, kettle, full size fridge, coffee and tea facilities, washing machine, and dryer. There is a dining room, lounge, and large verandah to sit and watch the world go by. The bathroom has twin sinks with a corner spa and separate shower and hair dryer. The bedroom has a king size bed and there is a sofa bed in the lounge. The 1 bedroom spa apartment is also equipped with 22 inch LCD TV in the bedroom and 42 inch plasma TV in the lounge with DVD, iPod dock, stereo and alarm.

Hotel Room Bedroom 2

This room has either a king size bed or twin bed occupancy with its own bathroom, hair dryer,kettle, coffee and tea facilities. It is also equipped with a desk, LCD TV, DVD, iPod dock and alarm.

The 1 bedroom apartment and the hotel room have a common entrance that can only be accessed by key, once through this common entrance you enter into a foyer that will allow you to access the both rooms. You can lock the common entrance and easily have the two doors to the 1 bedroom apartment and the hotel room open, creating a roomy and comfortable 2 bedroom apartment.

There is free WIFI within the apartment.

If you require extra servicing this can be done at a cost.

The complex has a pool, shared BBQ facilities and onsite free car parking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! My husband and I stayed at the Courthouse with our 18 month old son (we booked both rooms) and we could not recommend it highly enough! The apartment is beautiful and the location is perfect. We were a little worried about the noise at first but it was great to have a drink in the evening overlooking the activity on the street and as soon as you close the sliding doors, we honestly could not hear a thing. Lauren and Keith were so accomodating is so many respects. We will definitely stay here again when we are next in Port!

The location was fantastic, the apartment was beautifully furnished and had everything you could possibly need or want for a fabulous holiday. Communication with the owners was excellent and they were very helpful with every aspect. Highly recommended. We will be back. Thank you Lauren and Keith for sharing your beautiful apartment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The location of this property was absolutely fantastic. The 2 bed apartment was very comfortable and ticked all of our boxes. The kitchen was on the smaller side but fine for minimal cooking/preparation, as being on holiday and so close to the main Street, who wants to be cooking gourmet dishes anyway?! The balcony was much enjoyed at beer/nut o'clock time when listening to the live entertainment just below. The noise was a concern before we booked but it really didn't trouble us at all on the Friday/Sat night as it stopped by about midnight. We will definitely come back and stay at this property. The owners were delightful to deal with. Do yourself a favour and book it!
