Check in is 2.00pm, check out is 10.00am. When making a booking, please keep this in mind, as your preferred date on the calendar might look as though it is already taken, but is really a free date if someone is checking out in the morning. If you don't ask - you might lose an extra day of holiday magic. Trust me - you will never want to leave.
A sprawling balcony awaits you, with an outdoor setting ideal for meals. Villa 621 features a fully equipped kitchen, complete with microwave, gas cooktop, electric grill & oven, dishwasher and a separate internal dining area.
The spacious main bedroom features a luxurious queen size bed & writing desk.
Bedroom 2 has a double lower bunk weight rated to max 150kg and single upper bunk bed weight rated to max 80kg.
Both bedrooms have ample drawer and cupboard space, luggage racks, ceiling fans, and both are fully air conditioned with screened windows for your convenience.
A 3 minute walk on sealed roads, or down through the boardwalks takes you to the Maheno & Seabelle restaurants in the resort complex. The Sand Bar Bistro is another few minutes walk through the stunning boardwalks of the Resort at Kingfisher Bay.
After a day of swimming at the beach or in one of the 4 pools, or perhaps even after tennis, canoeing, paddle boarding, bush walking or a Segway tour - you might like to wind down in the spa bath while Foxtel entertains those remaining in the spacious lounge. There is also an ipod dock for your musical convenience.
The 3 seater lounge converts to a foldout queen size bed if required, and incurs a $50 fee per night.
A full modern laundry with both washing machine and dryer, iron & ironing board are also in the villa for your convenience.
The Junior Eco Rangers run a fun and informative 3 hour session for children 5-14 see reception for costs and bookings and run all year round, allowing some child free time for those wanting to wind down and enjoy dinner out while the kids are safely entertained. Segways, canoes etc require a small hire fee.
For the adventurous with a 4WD, a day trip through to the many sightseeing spots are a must. Permits are required and are available at the time of booking or check-in. Fuel is available at the convenience store within the resort. However, as the roads are sealed within the resort, a 4WD is only required should you venture outside the Resort at Kingfisher Bay & into the National Parks area. Tours of the island are available, ask reception for costs and bookings. 4WD hire is available through Kingfisher Bay Resort.
The annual migration of whales for calving is between July & October each year. They stop with their young in the sheltered waters of Platypus Bay before returning to the feeding grounds of Antarctica. Whale watching cruises run from the Resort during this time. see reception for costs and bookings, although this is best planned ahead, as they book very quickly.
