The Cubby is an environmentally friendly, two level property located in Happy Valley on Fraser Island.

Both upstairs and downstairs of The Cubby are available for rent either singularly (see rates below) or together as one group booking - $2,500 per week or $375 per night (minimum 3 night rental).

In addition to the features listed for upstairs and downstairs below, The Cubby has a covered gas bbq, a laundry with washing machine, an outside covered fish cleaning area and ample parking.


Sleeps 4 plus 1 small child

Tariff: $1,500/week or $225/night (minimum 3 night booking)

Upstairs has two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and a single child's bed. The other has a queen sized bed. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, fans and air conditioners for hot nights.

The living area is spacious with a dining and lounge area featuring leather couches, a large screen TV (new) with digital tv and a fan.

The kitchen is large and well equiped with a double sink, 5 burner European gas stove, microwave and dish washer. A Jura coffee machine is included.

There is a large covered deck with sea glimpses above the lower ground deck with a covered gas barbecue, large outdoor table and chairs.

Tariff: $1,000/week or $150/night (minimum 3 night booking)

Downstairs The Cubby has three bedrooms. The first has a queen size bed with ensuite. The second has 2 king singles which can be converted to a kind size bed. The third bedroom has single bunk beds. Adjacent to the living area is another bed with a pullout trundle.

The two main bedrooms have a fan as does the living area.

Both bathrooms feature a shower, toilet and handbasin.

The kitchen is new and is well equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. There is a gas four burner stove and gas oven. The kitchen also has a full size electric fridge, chest freezer and microwave.

There in an inside wooden table and 6 chairs in the dining area. The lounge room has 2 leather couches for watching digital tv on a large TV.

The deck on the front of the property is perfect for relaxing with outdoor tables and chairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Lovely and clean. Very well equipped. Great communication from property owner. Location is the perfect base for your days adventures. Happy valley was lovely and the food at the pub/general store was exceptional. Having the property managers across the road was very helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a gem! 'The Cubby' is an absolute gem! We were so lucky to find this property online and after viewing several other property options, we are so glad we chose well. The Cubby has everything you need and is very clean and maintained with the little extras to make your stay comfortable. The Property Managers are very friendly and very helpful with recommendations of what to see and where to go as locals. We would highly recommend this to any family as it is truly a gem and value for money! We will be back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a little gem! Fantastic find and for our first visit over to Fraser Island, we were very spoilt finding 'The Cubby' online as our place to stay. After viewing several other options, this property stood out due to being very clean, central to everything and has all you need for your stay! The Managers are welcoming and happy to share their local knowledge and recommendations. Will definitely be coming back with the hope of staying a few times a year! What a gem!
