Currumbin Valley is the beautiful hinterland that overlooks Currumbin Beach and the Pacific Ocean. It's lovely green hills and trees contrast with the sparkling blue of the coast, and the temperature is cooler on the whole.
Currumbin Valley is peaceful and quiet - with just the wildlife and native flora surrounding you You will be just a 7-minute drive from the beautiful Currumbin rock pools – an absolutely fantastic spot for a swim and a lovely place to relax with a picnic on a hot day. Go paddle boarding in the calm waters of Currumbin Creek – another way to enjoy this tranquil location.
The house is a picturesque 15-minute drive from the coast and the famous Currumbin Beach which is popular with locals and professional surfers. You will also be approximately 30-minutes drive from Surfers Paradise – Australia’s number 1 tourist destination - where shopping, restaurants, nightlife, theme parks and other attractions are the order of the day.
Lately, eco-warriors have created an eco village in Currumbin which harnesses sustainable building and development practices. The village itself has a pool, parks, walking trails and specialty stores such as a health food store, fruit and veggie store and a pottery store. Locals are friendly, welcoming and always ready for a chat.
Having a car is the easiest way to explore the area. However, there is also a very comprehensive bus service which can take you from A to B. Once you are on the coast, riding the G-Link light rail service is a convenient way to access different parts of the Gold Coast – with 16 stations in a line along a 13 km stretch of the Gold Coast. Simply go to the G-link website to plan your journey.
Queensland rail trains connect major centres on the Gold Coast including Helensvale, Nerang, Robina and Varsity Lakes and also serve Ormeau and Coomera. Trains run at regular intervals to and from Brisbane, with bus connections to Surfers Paradise, Southport and Broadbeach.
