Beautifully restored 100 year old Queenslander, set close to Lamington National Park. Visit the park and walk through ancient Gondwana rainforest, with lookouts, caves, and waterfalls. View local birds and wildlife from the back deck or sit and watch the clouds roll by. Breathe fresh mountain air, listen to the forest at dusk.

Mountain Queen has an acre of surrounding land, a big back deck with tree top views, spa/ hot tub, and fire conditions permitting stone fire pit with camping style bbq. The house is powered by solar panels and is self sufficient with rainwater and septic tanks. The kitchen tap provides filtered rainwater for drinking.

The house is set up for self catering, and you will need to arrive with food and fuel as nearest shops/ petrol stations are 30 mins away. Dining out options include the Clifftop Dining Room and Lamington Teahouse at Binna Burra Lodge, the Headmaster's Café in the old school building, or the Flying Bean café at Rosins Lookout where you can watch paragliders and take in the view.

Binna Burra can be 5 to 10 degrees cooler than Brisbane or the Gold Coast. In cool weather firewood is provided for the wood fire in the lounge, and there are other heating options. In Summer the house has aircon and fans.

The TV has satellite Foxtel and stored movies available to watch. House does not have internet access but you can get mobile phone reception and 4G, not great but decent, Telstra is probably best.

Upstairs bathroom has a shower, bath, toilet, hand basin, as well as laundry facilities washing machine and clothes dryer. The separate upstairs half-bath has a toilet, hand basin and mirror. The downstairs bathroom with shower, toilet, hand basin is an outdoor bathing box handy to the spa/ hot tub.
