Description

BRING YOUR FISHING BOAT or JET-SKI

This luxury three-bedroom, fully ducted air-conditioned, waterfront ground floor apartment is the ideal place for a family holiday or romantic getaway. Small pets are welcome to remain outside at all times.

This bottom floor apartment covers the whole ground floor - and feels as large as a whole house. It has the added advantage of fully fenced, grassed outdoor areas, exclusive only to the bottom floor, so kids and dogs are kept safely away from the water if required – peace of mind for parents.

The unit boasts its own pontoon – with direct bridge free access to the beautiful Broadwater just around the corner. Feel free to bring your jet ski, or boat max 7mtrs and have full access to it for the duration of your stay – all included in the price. There is power and fresh water available at the pontoon. Perfect for fishermen.

If you are towing your boat / jet ski - there is a boat ramp only a few hundred meters away – you will need to leave your trailer parked on the road outside the building, or at the boat ramp carpark. The basement carpark of this unit includes 2 car spaces, so you could leave a smaller trailer in one of the carpark spots - provided it is no longer than an average car. If you have a larger boat you would like to take on holidays – Runaway Bay Marina or Bay View Harbour Marina have berths available for rent, and both are only one block away from your accommodation.

There are also plenty of boat hire / bbq boat hire places around the Gold Coast.

It is imperative you consider the neighbours and Maritime Safety Laws and adhere to the strict 6 knots speed limit while inside the canal, until you reach the open Broadwater….. which will take all of 30 seconds

The Broadwater estuary is our favourite place to fish on the coast. Providing easy access to protected waterways, and the chance to catch a trophy-sized fish or just a feed of crabs. The extensive size of this water way gives a sense of having the place to yourself, even during peak holiday periods you can still find your own secluded hideaway. As an angler, you will coexist with dolphins, dugongs, and turtles and stealthy anglers frequently have close encounters with these exotic creatures. The number of different fish species available make it impossible to ever get bored and with South Stradbroke Island being so accessible you can easily pull up and stretch your legs or have lunch.

Theme parks are less than 20 minutes away, Surfers Paradise beaches are 15 minutes away and only a 30-minute drive to the beautiful Tamborine Mountain with its rainforest walks, cafes, boutique businesses and wineries.

Local shops, the Runaway Bay Marina, restaurants, Runaway Bay Shopping village are only walking distance. Harbour Town Outlet shopping, Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Robina Town Centre, and more are all on your doorstep.

With the recent addition of the Gold Coast Light Rail System, public transport has never been easier, and all areas of the Coast are covered.

We ask that you respect the neighbours, and tenants upstairs, and ensure that noise is kept to a minimum after 10:00pm and before 8:00am.

In accordance with Gold Coast City Council & Stayz Code of Conduct, we have a strict NO PARTY POLICY.

We do not accept bookings from schoolies or large groups of young singles.

Minimum stay is 2 nights and 3 nights in peak times.

A security bond is required and will be repaid after you depart – once the cleaners have given a full report.

BEDROOMS

The Main Bedroom has a super comfortable queen size ensemble and plenty of built in cupboard space.

The second bedroom has a Double / Single bunk with another single mattress to slide out from under the bed. This room also has plenty of built in cupboard space.

The third bedroom has a fold out queen-size sofa bed.

All rooms have ceiling fans or pedestal fans – and are also fully air conditioned.

Total beds in bedrooms: sleeps 8 plus 2 x rollaways if required. There is also a couple of blow up mattresses Eurobed style if required. Please advise of your bedding and extra linen requirements to enable us to give you an exact quote, and make sure you have enough for everyone.

We can arrange a porta-cot, with linen and highchair when requested.

We only ask that no-one sleeps on the cream Italian leather lounge-suite, as this really does shorten its life…

COT & HIGHCHAIR

A portable cot and highchair can be provided. Please request at the time of booking.

MAXIMUM GUESTS

8 Adults, 2 small children on trundle beds. If required, please request trundle beds at time of booking.

Extra air beds are available on request. Please advise if required so we can allow enough linen for everyone – alternatively feel free to bring your own.

BATHROOM

The large main bathroom has a huge walk in shower, full vanity, and mirror, plenty of storage, along with toilet. Please bring your own hairdryer etc.

The Powder Room has a second toilet and hand basin/ mirror.

LAUNDRY

The laundry is fully equipped with front loading washer, condensing dryer, ironing board and iron.

KITCHEN

The kitchen comes equipped with a family size double ice and water dispensing fridge, along with a second fridge/freezer which can be used for drinks if you have a bigger crowd, double stainless sink with Insinkerator, family size dishwasher, microwave, 6 burner gas cooktop, range hood, 2 electric ovens, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. All the kitchen appliances are quality European Miele Brand. There is plenty of good quality cookware and enough crockery and cutlery to cater for a large crowd.

The central island breakfast bar has 3 bar stools, with plenty of room for food prep and dining.

If you need a night off from cooking, Menu log and Uber Eats download from the App Store can have any kind of cuisine you desire to your door in less than 30 minutes

DINING/FAMILY

The dining room with classy glass top dining table and buffet is just off the kitchen can comfortably cater for 8 adults, with gorgeous views of the canal.

FORMAL LOUNGE

With plenty of room on the Leather sofas - the lounge offers a quiet corner to get away and sneak in some entertainment. A large screen smart TV, DVD player, a Wii with a few games, and a selection of board games and cards for some old-fashioned family fun.

Open the glass doors for full access to the outdoor entertaining area.

OUTDOORS

The undercover area complete with Family size Weber BBQ, and rotisserie is ideal for alfresco dining. Enjoy the relaxing views of the canal and the sea breezes, while keeping an eye on the kids playing on the grass, or swimming / fishing off the pontoon. Depending on the tides, there is a small sandy beach as well.

The outdoor area has a large 8-seater dining set, along with lounge seating for another 6 people.

PARKING

Parking is available for two vehicles or 1 vehicle and 1 boat/jetski trailer if you prefer in the fully security gated basement garage. Max height is 2.0mtrs – note: the driveway entry is on an angle, so please be sure to check your height as you are entering and exiting. Parking is at your own risk. Once securely parked in the basement, there is direct lift access to your front door of your apartment. Trolleys are provided to help move your luggage.

INTERNET ACCESS

Free WIFI is included in your accommodation price. The password will be given prior to check-in. Take advantage of the Huge Screen T.V. smart capabilities and log in to your Foxtel Go, Netflix or Stan accounts for unlimited movie streaming. The Gold Coast also boasts around 80 Free to Air Television Channels. A DVD player is supplied, along with a Wii and games.

An assortment of family friendly board games are also provided.

CLEANING FEE - LINEN & TOWELS HIRE

All beds have a blanket / or comforter/ doona and pillows supplied. To save costs, you may wish to bring your own sheets, pillowcases, bath towels and beach towels – if so, please advise when booking.

All other bed linen sheets/ pillowcases and bath towels are supplied by a linen hire company, and charged per person per stay – the price will be added to your confirmation booking email.

All linen is clean, freshly pressed and in a brilliant white. All orders are made facilitating individual requirements – so please be specific when booking on the amount of people you will have staying, to ensure you have enough linen. Please be aware, you will need to make your own bed, or this can be arranged for a small fee.

If you have any other specific requirements: ie baby requirements, disabled requirements etc, please feel free to ask. We will endeavour to source anything you may require.

If you are staying for a lengthy time, and you would like a mid-stay clean, this can also be arranged. Price on application. Please feel free to send us an email with any requests you may have.

Runaway Bay Shopping Village is only a couple of minutes away, and has Woolworths and Coles, Kmart, Big W along with many specialty stores including baker, butcher and fruit/veg store.

CHECK-IN & CHECK OUT TIMES

Check in is from 2:30pm on your arrival date and check out is at 10:00am unless otherwise arranged at the time of booking.

EXTRA CLEANING FEES

An extra cleaning fee will apply where guests have not left the property in the same condition as they found it. In general, a large percentage of guests will ensure that they do this but there have been a small number of guests who have left a mess behind and as a result, we have incurred additional costs on top of our standard cleaning fee. This will be deducted from the Security Deposit after you leave. Our cleaners will always provide photos as evidence of any extra cleaning required.
