Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not recommended We would not stay in this apartment again - there is nothing 'luxury' about it. The apartment is worn, needs a good clean and is not well-equipped. Two rolls of toilet paper (one in each bathroom) for 4 people for 8 days. The dishwasher shorts the electricity every time it is turned on so we had to hand wash everything (a bottle of dishwashing liquid is in the cupboard but there is barely a squirt left). This would probably explain why the crockery and cutlery had food stuck on them. We had to pay for WiFi. There is very little communication with manager/owner and when I called to ask about the DVD player there was no assistance given. (Turns out you have to change all the cords at the back of the TV if you want to use the DVD player. I don't mind doing this but it would be nice if there was some kind of instruction somewhere and I didn't have to get covered in dust to do it.) The carpet is stained, the tiles in the bathroom are cracked and the walls and doors have finger marks all over them. There is plenty of accommodation to choose from in Surfers so next time I will stay somewhere that cares more for the guests' comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thoroughly enjoyed the week long stay. Thanks I rarely write reviews, but considering the unjust comments lodged by the group staying before us, I think the nice owners deserve better. The property is modern, not brand new, but well kept. Fully functional, and well equipped in every way. Plenty of space for our family of 5, of course when I rent a 2 bedroom unit, and use the sofa bed, I expect to compromise some living space, which didn't bother us at all, since the apartment still had plenty communal and private areas. So for the previous renters to say that this unit can't fit 6 people, seems to me that these 6 people must have been exceptionally large, or exceptionally arrogant, who didn't afford a 3 bedroom yet complains about a 2!~ I have always stayed across the beach, but now realise how over rated that was. The convenience of being just above the main precinct of Surfers comes with many perks, including late night runs down to coles, dropping into starbucks, max brenner, san churros etc, can't be more please with the location. Views from the bedrooms were fantastic. Kitchen has everything one would need for a trouble-free stay, including dishwasher, oven, full fridge, enough cups, plates dishes & cutlery to go around. Frying pans, enough saucepans and pots, chopping boards, utensils etc half way into our stay, someone even dropped by new batteries for the remotes, The owners have clearly made it their concern to have us enjoy our trip. We did have troubles with power where the fuse box shorted (Still trying to work out cause, perhaps it is from using hotplate + other high powered electrical appliances at the same time? *shrug*) it didn't bother us, as the switchboard was inside the apartment, when I left a message for the owner, three people (owner and two maintenance guys called back to help), it's just with the order in which the switches needed to be flipped back up. So again, I always consider holidays never to be trouble free, but the important thing is, that the owner and her team is within arms reach and well prepared to assist even after hours. Thanks Lisa. Had a great time, will definitely rebook when we are holidaying in the area.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing unit The unit is small so six people would be hard. It was quite dirty with a stinking toilet and very old and worn bed linen. The kitchen still had other people's crumbs and spills though out Had holes in some sheets. The hot plates are broken so only work at high temp. The basins did not drain. the carpet is torn and worn. The owner was approachable over the phone.
