This is a tiny original, authentic weekender, built in the 1960's. Situated at the southern end of the mountain, it is 8km or 10mins drive from the main tourist area on the mountain. It is tucked away in a quiet area, close to the golf course. Guests have sole use of the house and the property. Relax on the deck, picnic on the lawn, eat local organic produce, walk mountain trails, see waterfalls, visit wineries, breweries, art galleries, shops, markets, and restaurants
The house is self sufficient with filtered rain water and septic tanks. The master bedroom has a comfy queen size bed and the bunk bed in the tiny 2nd bedroom is comfy and sturdy enough to sleep adults if required. It is not recommended for children under the age of nine years to sleep in a top bunk.
The house is situated on a 1000m2 battleaxe block, with neighbours on 2 sides. The large lawn backyard is flat up top then slopes. It is private but unfenced, so may not be suitable for very young children.
There is a single lock up garage should you wish to park under cover. There are basic laundry facilities in the garage with an old style twin tub washing machine not automatic. There is no internet access to the house, but mobile phone reception is good.
The mountain is usually cooler than Brisbane or the Gold Coast, the house has reverse cycle air conditioning for heating and cooling.
Linen, bedding and towels are provided.
This is a lovely, quiet neighbourhood and a great place to relax and admire the ever changing views
