Some thing old and something new One of the last original beach shacks with a sympathetic build and renovation by a local architect. Located at the "old Point Lookout", Eddie's Place has a relaxed, low key feel. Some would say that this is what makes Straddie different. A new house is connected to the shack via a translucent polycarbonate and timber stairwell. The house, made from fibro cement and timber, is spread over several levels, with the open plan kitchen and living areas enjoying views of the dunes and water. Two day beds in the living areas allow for guests staying the night.
The old shack has been renovated and now includes a queen bed and two singles with a trundle option. The new house features a sunny deck below, and open plan living lounge dining and a queen room. The upstairs boasts lovely views towards Main Beach and east over the North Gorge headland. Ideal for two families one using the house, the other the shack, this getaway celebrates the outdoors while indoors. Certainly, leave the shoes in the car, grab your surfboard, towel and thongs and enjoy laid back Straddie. Short walk to beaches, shops & cafes.
