Description

'55 on Ash' is a newly renovated property located in the township of Barcaldine, approximately 200 metres to the town's main street and CBD. The 50+ year old property, which was originally the old 'Barcaldine Kindergarten', was transformed in 2017 into a modern and beautiful three bedroom, two bathroom house.

'55 on Ash' is a fully equipped, air-conditioned house which can comfortably accomodate up to six people.

The house features are:

All bedrooms and living areas have split systems for cooling and heating

Three bedrooms - each room with Queen Beds and memory foam mattresses, main bedroom with ensuite. All bedrooms have 40" wall mounted Smart TV's with Netflix

Two bathrooms - ensuite with toilet, bath, double vanity and double shower. Main bathroom with toilet, shower and vanity. Hair-dryers in each bathroom. Bathrobes are provided for use. A welcome supply of toiletries are provided

Large open plan living area consisting of a well appointed kitchen, dining and lounge areas

Kitchen - induction cook top, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso machine, also available Sunbeam Cafe Barista manual coffee machine, coffee plungers, kettle, french door refrigerator with plumbed water and ice, 4 slice toaster, slow cooker, sandwich press, rice cooker, cutlery and crockery for 12 persons, kitchen fully equipped for cooking and entertaining. Basic stocked pantry, cooking condiments. A welcome supply of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and basic condiments is provided to make your first days easier

Dining Area - large 3 metre wooden table with 10 seats

Lounge Area - 6 seater modular lounge plus single lounge chair. 55" wall mounted Smart TV with Netflix. 50" wall mounted electric fireplace for the ambience of fire, can be used with or without heating.

Laundry - 7kg front loader washing machine, 6.5kg sensor dryer, steam iron, ironing board, drying rack, 2 x clothes lines. A welcome supply of washing powder is supplied for your use

Front Veranda - outdoor dining for 12, BBQ, corner lounge seating area for 6

Pool Area - in-ground 6m x 3m plunge pool, fully self-automated in-floor cleaning system, optional heating available upon request at additional fee. 2 metre Balinese water feature. Outdoor shower

Yard - fully fenced secure yard, 6 foot fence around entire property, two gated front entries. Front yard has lots of shady trees, shade sails and different seating areas. Our back yard is what we call 'Phase 2" of our renovation. It is still under construction but is accessible and usable but not as pretty as the front

Car Parking - front carport for two vehicles, on-street parking also available

Complimentary Wifi. Two desks available for those who need workspace

All linen and towels, including pool towels, are provided

Strictly no smoking indoors

Dogs allowed by prior arrangement. Fees and conditions apply

'55 on Ash' is located in a residential area therefore noise restrictions apply. All noise must cease by 10pm. This property is not available for parties or events. If any of these rules are broken you risk being asked to leave the property and you WILL forfeit the balance of your stay

BBQ - if you use the BBQ please clean it prior to leaving otherwise risk an additional cleaning fee

If you make a mess, please be kind and clean up after yourself. Please leave the house as you found it when you arrived

Barcaldine township has a population of approximately 1,300 people and is known as the 'Garden City of the West'. Barcaldine is home to the iconic 'Tree of Knowledge', which is located on the main street, approximately 350 metres from the property. This famous tree has been preserved and placed under an award winning timber structure, which can be seen from the property's front verandah and glows a vibrant green at night. The town's quaint main street boosts five original hotels great for an easy, relaxed 'iconic pub tour' or as us Aussie's call it 'pub crawl' and numerous cafes and dining options.
