The jewel in the Arcadia Valley Escape fleet. The Outpost is our latest and greatest addition to the farm stay. It has been built out of sandstone and corrugated iron in the early European settlers style.
This house is not for everyone as it is completely off the grid. Its lights and fridge are run off solar power with a generator back-up. It is as unique as its surrounding, based on the foothills of Arcadia Valleys most predominant mountain, Castle Hill. The view is breathtaking, and the experience is one to remember.
The Outpost is equipped with a small bar fridge, kitchen essentials, a BBQ, an outside fire-pit, an inside fireplace, a Gas Cooktop for the Kettle and it even comes with a flushing toilet
The Outpost is perfect whether you are a couple wanting to get away for a couple of days or a group of campers wanting to use the building for a base.
With plenty to see and do on the Station there is something for everyone. Arcadia Valley Escape boasts over 260 species of birds which can be spotted around the Station or at our two wetland dams from our man-made bird hides. Canoeing, fishing, walking including a 12km ring-road walk in our mountains is just a few of things to do. If your staying on a Wednesday then pop down to our Outdoor Cinema from 6:30pm for an Aussie Classic BYO wine All activities are free.
