ABOUT THE HOME

Elevated and hidden amongst the trees in a quiet, leafy cul de sac is Coolum Beach’s Bare Feet Retreat. Designed around its resort style pool, this 5 bedroom, split level home is ideal for families who like to entertain and is only minutes from Coolum Beach.

A large undercover decked area with outdoor dining for 8 spans the Bare Feet Retreat’s central kitchen, dining and lounge rooms, enjoying sea breezes and ocean glimpses.

Step down from the deck and enter the outdoor pool and entertaining area - surrounded by lush gardens, the large, resort-style in ground swimming pool is complimented by a bean bag day bed area, sun lounges and an outdoor shower. The adjoining undercover recreation area features a pool table, couch, second outdoor dining table and chairs, bar fridge and toilet.

The heart of the home is its communal kitchen and living area. Complete with servery window to the adjoining deck and outdoor dining area, the central kitchen is fully equipped with every appliance a holiday maker could desire. The kitchen boasts a large fridge, double dish drawer dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave and a brand new Smeg electric oven with a Weber Q BBQ just outside on the deck.

Bordering the kitchen is a dining room with seating for up to 12 guests on one side and on the other a lounge room with comfy couches and a wall mounted 55” TV and DVD player.

Located in the East wing of the home, the air conditioned master bedroom doubles as an ideal parents’ retreat with a private balcony, built in robe and an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower.

Connecting the East and West wings of the home is an elevated, sun drenched hallway with full length louvre windows overlooking the pool. Offset from the hallway are bedrooms 2, 3 and 4, all with built in robes and fans.

The West wing is home to bedroom 5 which features a private balcony, air conditioning, built in robe and a walk through bathroom with bath, shower and toilet.

Ideally suited to 1 or 2 families, sleeping up to 12 guests the bedrooms are configured as follows:

BR 1 – 1 x queen bed sleeps 2

BR 2 – 1 x single bed, 1 set of single bunks sleeps 3

BR 3 – 1 x queen bed sleeps 2

BR 4 – 1 x double bed with single bunk above sleeps 3

BR 5 – 1 x queen bed sleeps 2

A powder room toilet and nearby laundry with washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities are centrally located off the main hallway.

To capitalise on the sea breezes and ensure the house is cool all year round all bedrooms, bathrooms and the elevated hallway feature louvre windows with fly screens, the outdoor dining, living areas and bedrooms each have ceiling fans and all doors from the lounge and dining rooms have ‘Crimsafe’ fly screen doors. For guests’ comfort, bedrooms 1 and 5 have split system air-conditioners.

Ensuring guests are well equipped for a relaxing and enjoyable stay the house also offers Wi-Fi, a number of body boards, a cupboard full of board games plus a DVD player and a selection of DVD’s.

Catering to the needs of families a porta cot, high chair, stair guard, plastic dinnerware and a selection of toys are provided.

Guests may also make use of the double key-less garage with internal house access.

Light and breezy elevated living amongst the trees, the Bare Feet Retreat is perfectly suited to holiday makers looking for a spacious, family oriented home in which to relax and unwind close to the beach and Coolum’s beachfront entertainment and shopping strip.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Guests will have access to the entire 5 bedroom home during their stay.

A property manual will be emailed to all guests upon confirmation of booking, outlining important information required before and during a stay at the Bare Feet Retreat.

All bedding and linen, including bath and pool towels are provided.

We know our guests will enjoy staying at the Bare Feet Retreat as much as the owners do, and expect that the home will be treated with the same respect guests would show their own home. To ensure future guests are able to enjoy their stays too we have the following rules:

• Due to the elevated design of the home noise travels to neighbours' homes very easily. To respect neighbours, noise levels must be kept to a minimum after 9pm.

• Strictly no parties, events or additional guests permitted.

• Smoking is not permitted inside or in any of the undercover areas of the house under any circumstances; including the deck, pool/billiard room and day bed areas. Smoking is permitted on the grassed area under bedroom 1’s verandah or near the bench seat in the pool area, however cigarette butts must be extinguished and disposed of in ashtrays/bins, not in the garden.

ABOUT THE AREA

The Bare Feet Retreat is located in a quiet cul de sac only a few minute’s drive from Coolum’s pristine beach and beachfront entertaining and shopping strip.

When staying at the Barefeet Retreat the options for eating out are endless. Whether it’s the Coolum Beach Surf Club with its absolute beach front views from Sunshine Beach to Point Berry, a café, bar or restaurant opposite the beach or one of nearby Noosa’s world class restaurants, all tastes are catered for.

The Sunshine Coast is renown for its world-class surfing beaches with the internationally recognised ‘Festival of Surfing’ held annually in March.

For those looking for outdoor activities that don’t involve sea and sand, look no further than Mount Coolum – hike to the top of this 197m volcanic dome created some 26 million years ago and enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of coastline and hinterland from the top

Take a self-drive adventure through the nearby hinterland - exploring open roads and stunning views of lush green valleys and magnificent mountains. Discover the Glass House Mountains, Maleny, Montville, Eumundi and Mapleton.

Nearby Australia Zoo is considered one of the best zoos in Australia and Mooloolaba’s UnderWater World showcases Australia’s colourful marine life with daily seal shows.

If golf is your thing don’t forget your clubs as Mount Coolum’s 18 hole course or internationally recognised Twin Waters Golf Club are close by.

GETTING AROUND

If you don’t have a car, Uber is readily available on the Sunshine Coast as are SunCoast Taxis.

TransLink operate frequent bus services on the Sunshine Coast. Translink's Journey Planner is available to help you plan your bus trip – visit Translink online or call 13 12 30.

Greyhound buses run to and from Brisbane, Noosa and beyond. Some routes stop directly opposite Coolum Beach.
