Kaalba is a delightful spacious self-contained studio perched on the hillside only a hundred metres from the Obi Obi Creek. The quiet and protected location provides views out over the rainforested valley. Throughout the year more than ninety species of bird can be seen (and heard) from the veranda.
The interior is elegantly furnished with a queen-sized bed, a sitting room, bathroom and small but well-stocked kitchen, as well as a weber barbecue on the deck. Locally made organically produced Mukti Botanicals soaps are used throughout.
Situated on the east side of Maleny it is seven minutes from the town centre and ten minutes from Montville – only thirty-five minutes to the coast – close to several of the most popular wedding venues on the Range.
This is a special place: a short walk leads to a deep fifty metre long swimming hole with basalt rock steps. A little further and you'll discover the waterfall and rapids. Platypus live in the creek, if you're an early riser you can almost guarantee to see them. It is the ideal location to relax and rejuvenate while still being close to all amenities.
