Hear the waves from your window...

Guests can access the beach with a short 5 min walk. There is a concreted beach path that runs along the beach from Caloundra to Noosa. There are three beach exits closest to home, the one straight ahead from our street is a sandy hill access. The Patrolled surf beach is a walk away 100m to the North with access onto the main 'Boardwalk'. There is another boardwalk access 200m south on the concrete path, at the end of Merchant's Parade. There are beach showers at all exits on your way back from the beach.
For keen surfers, waves tend to be best for longboards rather than shortboards, but sometimes you can be lucky and the swell will be bigger. As it is an open beach sometimes the surf can get a bit messy, we recommend driving to First Cove, Coolum, for a nice sheltered break.
Mount Coolum hike is only a couple of Km's away. Shops, restaurants and services are a walk away (IGA, Pharmacy, Butcher, Fish 'n Chip shop, Bakery, Coffee/Cafe, Bottle Shop and Takeaway shops 800m away; Physio, Hairdresser, more restaurants, Pilates Studio, Naturopath, and Coffee/Pastry Chef about 500m away in the other direction), and if you want more hustle and bustle, the township of Coolum is 10 mins and Maroochydore Plaza 18 mins drive away.
We are about 5 mins drive from Sunshine Coast Airport.
Our neighbourhood is a friendly bunch of people who share a love for the beach and outdoors. It's lovely just walking the streets looking at the different beach houses, especially in the Town of Seaside part of the estate, it's like walking into the movie, 'Truman Show'. We have the beach, shops and restaurants so close.
Buses go past on David Low Way, across from the Mount Coolum shopping complex. Public transport is available but it is much more convenient if you have a car when visiting the Sunshine Coast. If you want to go to local attractions like Australia Zoo, Underwater World, Montville or Hastings Street, things are much quicker to drive to yourself rather than relying on public transport.
In the future the Sunshine Coast council is planning to do a light rail which will be wonderful for the Coast.
Directions and helpful tips
Coming from South, off the Sunshine Motorway you will take the second exit (to Marcoola) after the Maroochydore River, it will be the same exit as the Sunshine Coast Airport. Follow the road (David Low Way) for about 7 minutes until you see the exit to 'Town of Seaside' (big rows of palm trees) or you can otherwise continue to drive to the next roundabout and take the exit to 'The Boardwalk'. Wave Crescent is a street off Boardwalk Boulevard.
