SUNRISE BEACH - aptly named as the East facing balcony blesses our visitors with glorious sunrises from the expansive balcony that faces the ocean. It is a three minute walk to the white sands. You can walk for hours in one direction on the sand if you want to. In the other direction ten minutes will bring you out at Sunshine Beach where you can stop and have a coffee - or you can go a few minutes further along the beach and climb up the (steep!) track and walk through the National Park.
The house is made of timber and is on telegraph pole high posts to maximize the view of the Ocean.
We have a BBQ out on the deck. The Deck spans the entire back of the house where we have a majority of our meals - but there is indoor dining too.
The Master bedroom has an ensuite and walk in robe. All our beds are super comfortable with cotton or goose down duvets and comfy pillows. A lot of houses on STAYZ do not provide linen. We do.
We think that your stay should be as fuss free as possible...no one wants to lug their sheets and towels with them!...so we provide them - nice ones.
The main bathroom has a nice deep bath for those that like to put the candles on and soak.
We love Art, so the house is a rather eclectic - no 'vanilla' here ;) It is a house to live in and enjoy, not the kind of home you are afraid to touch things in. we have little experience with children in the house, so you would need to think twice about young ones here - it is not very practical for the under 5's - mostly due to the wide entrance stairs that are difficult to block off. we don't mind you enquiring though. we aren't against little ones, just making sure you know to ask questions.
Lots of books from New Age to Management to History. Lots of reference books for any writers out there too. Tonnes of DVD's for hibernating too!
Our home is a full sized house with an open plan living/dining/kitchen, three bedrooms all rooms have reverse cycle air conditioners.. Two of the bedrooms are double size.
in total there are two King and two King single beds. The rooms are very spacious, everyone can have their own 'space' to relax.
We are very dog friendly here - indoors and out
Dog beaches are a short walk from our house, but we also supply information on good dog and human walking/interacting spaces to help out those who are bringing the 'other kids' with them.
HOT NEWS....the dog beach at the end of Hastings St has just re-opened. It is an incredible off leash space for dogs and humans alike! You will want to move here :)
lots of the Sunshine Coast is now officially classified as 'dog friendly' - including Cafes.
For those that do not have a dog...we have three...so we can loan you one of ours if you like! :)
It is a great house to just have a great time. not too fussy, very comfortable, great location and relaxed - for you and your pets (not exclusively doggie heaven...)
We have amazing full ocean views, but as the rate suggests, we are not right on the beach (or it would be 5 times as much), we are behind the main road into town - so there is some road noise. Those that need absolute tranquility need to be aware of this.
Where is Sunrise Beach?
Sunrise Beach/Noosa Heads is on the East Coast of Australia. It is a highly desirable location by the domestic and the international visitors. Great weather, fantastic beaches and blue water- but there's more! Noosa has a very loyal following as it is not just a relaxing beach destination, it also has a rich foodie culture, with sensational restaurants and cafes, as well as a thriving artistic community.
Sunrise, Sunshine and Noosa Heads all share the same post code - they are all within a very short distance of each other. You are in the famous Hastings Street within 7 minutes in the car. You are in The Junction in 4 minutes (where you can catch a movie or do your supermarket shopping). There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk away if you are not planning on bringing your car.
If you are flying in, there is a great service to get you to dropped at the door of the house - Henry's or SunAir - Ask if you need more information about this.
The famous artsy 'Eumundi Markets' are a short 20 minute drive away. We have the mountains behind us for an alternative to the soaking up of the beach for those that want some hiking or just a great Devonshire Tea! The now World famous Australia Zoo (Steve Irwin, aka 'The Crocodile Hunter) is just one hour away. We have some fantastic Day Spa's and a couple of world class golf courses, including Australia's PGA Championship Golf Course.
It is a pretty sporty place if you love your active life. One of the premium Triathlons on the World circuit happens here because of its weather and its perfect run/swim/cycle environment.
Lot's of gorgeous walks for those, like us, that are not quite that fit anymore...okay...probably never were! No matter what your fitness level, you will LOVE the Noosa National Park. If you are super lucky you may see the schools of Dolphins that i seem to catch on most of my walks!
If you stay in our house around July to September, you may also see the Whales as they migrate about two hours drive further Nth (Hervey Bay) to have their babies each year..then they guide them back around September. We usually catch them going by the house from the balcony in one direction or the other. (it is a MUST DO to drive that two hours Nth if you are here around August - the Whales are AMAZINGLY playful!)
I lived a hectic corporate life in Asia for many years, my sanity was saved by my trips home here to the beach of Noosa. It is a wonderful place to rest a weary mind/body/soul as much as it is one for a the very active.
For some more all encompassing information on Noosa, please have a look at their official tourism website, you will find all sorts of specific interest things there.
