Description

Atop the Dulong Range in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, this modern, 4 bedroom home is the ideal spot for a getaway with family or friends.

Built in 2008 to exacting standards, the home offers stunning, panoramic views across the Sunshine Coast countryside to the ocean. Ocean views stretch from Mooloolaba to Noosa. The Dulong house is centrally positioned between the coast and the picturesque Blackall Range, giving easy access to the fabulous Sunshine Coast beaches 20-30 minute drive and the charming range villages of Montville, Maleny and Mapleton 10-20 minute drive.

The home is beautifully furnished and decorated, with quality appliances, bedding, linen and towels throughout.

There are 4 bedrooms, three of them with beautiful views.

- the master bedroom has a queen bed, a large ensuite including a bath with a view, walk-in robe and private balcony

- bedroom 2 has a queen bed

- bedroom 3 can be configured as a king bed or 2 single beds

- bedroom 4 has 2 single beds

The second bathroom is spacious and includes a large bath.

The laundry is fully equipped with washing machine, dryer and tub. There is an outside clothesline and clothes airer available for your use.

The lounge room has floor to ceiling large glass panels, making it an ideal place to sit and relax and take in the amazing view in any weather. A well appointed kitchen, dining room and separate rumpus room with comfy beanbags complete the living areas. The verandah is a great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner It is equipped with a Weber Q and outdoor dining table and chairs.

The Vantage has very high speed internet 100/100 available for guests to use free of charge.

There is undercover parking for 2 vehicles and entry is via a remote controlled driveway gate.

The property is non-smoking and not suitable for pets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic modern house with great views Our family of 3 adults and 2 young children (2.5yr old, 6mth old) stayed for 2 nights at The Vantage at Dulong. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it. W Wonderful secluded property, generous living spaces, amazing views, top quality appliances and furniture throughout. The master is exceptionally large with a big WIR and spacious ensuite. Functionally it's excellent - a great rumpus room for kids separate to the main living/dining area, outdoor furniture setting and deck area. Fully contained kitchen and laundry. It's clear this is a well designed house, built for people who had an eye for detail and not constructed to be a rental. There is great attention to detail evident throughout the property - a selection of toys and puzzles to cater for 2 year olds or teenagers, a selection of latest magazines, even a little home baked gift to greet us on arrival. The photos are a true reflection of what we experienced - spotless throughout, ready for a magazine shoot. Our host, Karen, was a pleasure to deal with. Quick replies to emails / messages. Simple instructions for arrival/departure. Double checking all our requirements prior to our arrival. In our situation, we made some requests re: our children (cot, high chair, room arrangements) and Karen was able to arrange things before our arrival. Also able to allow us to check out slightly later on our departure day. Property feels safe and secure with electric gate and has plenty of parking space. Conveniently located close to Montville, Flaxton and Nambour. As mentioned by a number of previous guests, the noise from the road up the mountain below is quite loud. In fairness, this may be the same for lots of other properties situated on a road and not set back a few hundred metres - so it's probably not unique to The Vantage. However, neither of our children were woken up at any stage. It was a privilege to stay at this property which was perfect for our needs. We hope to return again in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific A lovely spacious and generous home to hold a girls weekend away. 5 of us in total for 2 nights. Even though the weather didn't cooperate, copious amounts of rain all weekend, we were dry, warm and snug. Were all impressed with the quality of the home and furnishings. We all had terrific sleeps on the super comfy beds. Karen was a delight to deal with and we thank her for allowing us to use this lovely property for the weekend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Views Our stay at The Vantage was fantastic and a perfect place for a weekend away with friends. The house itself is incredibly spacious, even with a large group you aren't on top of each other. Its perfectly located, only a short drive to surrounding towns. We enjoyed relaxing out on the balcony and admiring the view, which was stunning. We all can't wait to go back. Thank you Karen for sharing your property.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful property with great views The Vantage is a comfortable house, well designed and beautifully furnished. While we were there the days were warm but the evenings, nights and early mornings were cold. We didn't need any heating or air conditioning, however, as the house is designed for passive solar heating, by raising or lowering the blinds at different times of the day and cooling using the big doors and windows to let in the breezes. The bed was very comfortable with high quality linens. There was a generous supply of soft, fluffy, but absorbent towels in the big bathrooms. The kitchen was lovely to cook in with plenty of space, light and equipment. The coffee machine (with pods) and outdoor gas BBQ were also welcome. The living and dining areas were also very comfortable with lots of space and great seating and there is also a good sized play room for the kids with lots of games, books, etc. The property is well located for bush walking in the Kandalilla National Park, Mapleton Falls National Park, Glasshouse Mountains National Park and Noosa Heads National Park. We used the house as a base for day walks, including walking different sections of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. We indicated our interest in this to Karen before we arrived and she obtained information and maps on the walks and left them in the house for us before we arrived, which was much appreciated. We enjoyed having coffee on the deck in the afternoons at the spacious table, looking at the wonderful views across the mountains all the way to the sea. The only downside for us was the noise from the main road below the house, although it should be noted that in the evening and at night when the trucks are not on the road the noise is much diminished.
