"Wonderful stay The panoramic views are even better than the pictures Beautiful terrace which is a sun trap all day and the ideal spot to enjoy beautiful sunsets. The accommodation is spacious, clean and comfortable. Everything works You will need a car as it's an 8 minute drive from Airlie and not walkable. Cathy and Ron were warm and welcoming hosts. Our first Airbnb stay and it went very smoothly. Wonderful stay all around - thank you." Will Feb2016
"Unbelievable Even the great pictures cannot do this place justice. We were there for 5 days and still could not believe the view. Absolutely stunning. Very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more, and so very very clean If this were a hotel it would be 5 for sure. If you are just 'thinking' about going, don't think, book it, you won't regret it First Class." Emma Feb2016
"What a beautiful place to stay The house had everything we needed and more. There's nothing like having your own private infinity pool" Spenser 2016
"The Whitsunday Retreat at Shute Harbour is without a doubt the perfect holiday destination. It has everything that is needed to create a restful environment, and the views are unparalleled We spent ten wonderful days there and are looking forward to our return visit. Cathy and Ron are excellent hosts - available if needed but not at all intrusive. We enjoyed our holiday in their lovely apartment and can highly recommend it." Meredith, Adelaide Nov2015

"Can't believe we found this paradise. Why pay to stay on the islands when you can stay here and enjoy better views AND have more things to do. Great stay Thanks for sharing your place. We'll be back" Peter Sep 13
"Can't recommend this place enough. It has to be seen to be believed. We enjoyed 6 days here reading, relaxing and watching the boats" Janice and Steve
"Meg and I would like to thank you for providing such beautiful accommodation.
Ron is a great host, very friendly and willing to assist in any way.
We had an amazing time up there, and are sad to be back at work down in cold Melbourne.....
Can't wait to visit again.
Kind Regards, Rob March 2012
"What an amazing few days we had staying at the Whitsunday retreat. It was a perfect place to spend a honeymoon, but actually I could stay there just to be there. To open your eyes in the morning to see the tree covered islands and the turquoise sea was just magical. The apartment was ideal for any couple even though the weather was not fantastic we were able to chill in absolute comfort and style. The infinity pool and then the warm jaccuzzi melted our aches away after long tropical walks and lazy days at Coral Beach. We must thank Cathi and Ron for picking us up from the Harbour with cases etc. They made us fill so welcome, offering advice on walks, fauna and flora etc and yet respected our privacy. The homemade bread and apple muffins were a delicious added delight" June 2012
"Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE place Stayed a week, wish we could have stayed longer. The location is perfect, it was close enough to Airlie Beach to enjoy the restaurants but we loved being away from the noisy people " Aug12
"We went to stay for 6 lovely days and nights at this property. The owner is extremely kind. She was also extremely respectful of our privacy. As for the place itself - it has the most amazing views of water and the islands. The photos simply do not do justice to how stunning the views are. They also appeared to us to be the best views in the whole Airlie beach region There is a lovely hot-water spa which we made use of every day and an infinity pool. The Studio apartment feels much bigger than a studio apartment and is very tastefully decorated. There is no TV reception but there is a hard-drive that has some really good movies and a lot of good TV shows, movies, as well as music. The facilities have everything you could want to cook a meal or do a grill outside and we could not recommend this more as a couple's getaway to really get away from it all in paradise."
