A luxury home-stay experience with a prize winning garden.

Come and stay with us in one of Adelaide's most beautiful suburbs; a short distance from the city and get the benefit of local knowledge, a safe environment, warmth and hospitality from people who genuinely care about their guest's travel experiences.

Wake up to the sound of kookaburras and if you are lucky get to feed one on our balcony or spot a koala in the tree next door and just a 10 minute drive from the heart of Adelaide.

A beautiful prize winning garden with access to an adjoining park with a creek, walking paths, diverse wildlife including koalas, frogs, kookaburras, owls and heron.

10 minute drive from Adelaide but feels like the hills.

Fresh flowers, welcome bowl of fruit, robes and complimentary slippers provided.

Whether you’re coming for a relaxing weekend, a few days sightseeing or a tour of the wineries, this location is perfect. Two charming furnished bedrooms, one queen size and one double bed on the lower ground floor. They enjoy views of our beautiful garden which backs on to the magical Michael Perry Reserve which has diverse wildlife including koalas, frogs, kookaburras, owls and heron.

You have the lower floor of our two storey home and your rooms are quiet and private. In winter you'll be warm and comfy with electric blankets and feather quilts. Privacy is ensured with your own living room, bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet. Ducted heating and cooling throughout the house.

A generous continental breakfast is included and if you have any particular favourites, please let us know and we will try to get them for you. You have your own fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and pod machine to enable you to have breakfast or a cup of tea or coffee or hot chocolate whenever you feel like it.

We enjoy meeting fellow travellers and love our home city, so we are happy to chat with you and provide local information or solve the problems of the world over a glass of wine or breakfast. On the other hand, we will also respect your privacy and leave you to relax in peace.

We have a very friendly Burmese cat called Indy.

The Neighbourhood

Nestled where the plains meet the hills, a perfect location for any visit to Adelaide.

A short walk from the famous Penfold winery, home of Grange and the fabulous Magill Estate restaurant. 10-15 mins drive to the city and 10 mins to the foothills.

There are two bus services close by. They both go to the heart of downtown Adelaide and take about 20 mins. By car we are approx 10-15 minutes from the city and the Adelaide airport is about 20 minutes. Taxi from our home to the city is approx $20 and to the airport is approx $40.

Burnside is one of the nicest residential areas in Adelaide, filled with large lovely homes and pretty gardens. It has approximately 3 km² of its area dedicated to Parks and Reserves, the result being one of the greenest areas in Adelaide.

Burnside is a very safe neighbourhood and close to the famous Penfolds Magill Estate, recently named South Australia's best restaurant by the Australian Financial Review.

Burnside Village and Norwood Parade and known for great shopping and restaurants

South Australia is well known for its wine and food and it’s easy to visit four of our main wine areas: the Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, McLaren Vale, and the Adelaide Hills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zen garden Beautiful place to stay, with the most gorgeous garden to relax in. We truly felt we were in a country location yet so close to the CBD, and of course the Adelaide Hills with their wonderful boutique wineries and country style pubs, Pam and Brian were perfect hosts. Friendly and inviting, but always respecting your privacy. The accommodation was spacious, very clean and extremely `homey', with beautiful fresh flowers and fruit each day. Breakfast was plentiful and our hosts went out of their way to provide and cater for my mother who is gluten intolerant. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends, and i will definitely be back again ! Nothing was too much trouble. And a special shout out to our " furry" host, Indy. The nicest cat I've ever met. True.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Calming Oasis Beautiful home in a quiet suburb, nestled in a gorgeous garden on the edge of a national park with gully winds blowing through the trees, only adds to the serenity. Split level with a few stairs going down to the guest accommodation on the lower storey, this home offers absolute privacy. There is also your own entrance with path going around the home if you prefer not to enter through the main house. Pam and Brian have thought of it all - whether it be the many choices for the continental breakfasts or the special treats provided, this home is the place to stay if you are looking for luxury and hosts who have certainly gone much further than the extra mile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning location - classy, serene and comfortable We were delighted to stay at this wonderful place while staying in Adelaide for the Tour Down Under. The accommodation is downstairs (two bedrooms, laundry, bathroom, toilet, lounge/dining and kitchenette area) and very quiet and comfortable - even when it was over 40 degrees outside it was cool inside (there is air-conditioning but it was not needed). It is stylish and comfortable with all amenities you might need. I really liked the special detailed touches of fresh flowers, L'Occitane toiletries to use, robes and slippers. The garden is fabulous and backs onto and overlooks a park running along second creek. It has several areas to sit and relax and enjoy a wine and nibbles. It is part of an old private botanic garden and provides lovely walking trails accessed from the garden. Hosts Pam and Brian were great - very friendly and provided lots of useful information. The downstairs area can be accessed from upstairs (where the hosts live, but privacy is respected) and there is also separate external access. The house cat Indy (brown Burmese) and his daily visits was an added bonus! It is located at the foot hills and close to top end shopping in Burnside as well as many places to eat and drink in the eastern suburbs. Adelaide CBD and is only a short ride, drive or bus trip away! We will definitely stay here again and can highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bed & Breakfast Pam and Brian kindly welcomed us in to their beautiful home and we were immediately impressed with the accommodation. It was located in one of the best suburbs in Adelaide and perfect for our stay when we wanted to be close to the city and the hills. The lower story of the house was just to ourselves and all amenities are provided for, with a large door opening up the lounge to a gorgeous backyard. The stay was tranquil, refreshing and private, unless of course we wanted to head upstairs and pat Indie the Burmese cat. Pam and Brian were gracious hosts who enjoyed hearing our daily adventures and gave us valuable insight in to the area. We are looking forward to our next stay in Adelaide and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B.
