The location of his tranquil retreat is about as good as it gets. Check it out. Osborne St, Hackney is actually closer to Rundle Mall and Rundle Street than most CBD addresses.

Nestled into a small, leafy, inner city suburb along with other C1890 heritage protected homes, this location has the charm and charisma of an old English village.

Just across Hackney Road is the National Wine Centre, the Botanic Gardens and the Adelaide Zoo.

A short stroll down North Terrace is the Royal Adelaide Hospital, the University of Adelaide, the Art Gallery of SA and the SA Museum.

From 8 Osborne it is a comfortable walk to the Adelaide Oval, Memorial Drive Tennis Courts, the Adelaide Casino and the Festival Theatre.

Hutt Street, Melbourne Street and the Norwood Parade are also all within easy walking distance.

You and your family or a group of your friends can enjoy exclusive use of this C1890 heritage listed, luxurious home. Because everything is all on one level, including the rear deck, it is convenient for everyone and ideal for older guests and families with young children.

You will see from the photos that the rear of this property is much lower than the front. From the rear deck you look out into the Maple tree tops and down onto an enchanting garden. In summer, the rotunda at the back of our 470 m2 block is just visible through the Maples and in winter the wind protected garden is warm, sunny and inviting.

We have equipped this home with all you'll need to enjoy your stay.

The kitchen has everything including a Nespresso pod coffee machine.

The two full bathrooms will ensure that you will not have any long queues.

The laundry is fully equipped and includes a condensor clothes dryer and ironing facilities.

The home is cooled in summer by a ducted evaporative air conditioner and the open space living area has a reverse cycle split system.

All three bedrooms have remote control overhead fans, electric blankets and heaters. The bedroom with an ensuite has a King bed, there is a Queen bed in the second bedroom and the third bedroom has two single beds that can be combined to provide another King bed. All of the beds are made up with crisp, fresh linen and the Sheridan towels are fluffy and luxurious.

Our wireless broadband provides unlimited, high speed access to the internet. You will have the capacity to download movies and you will be able to use the Apple TV to project them onto our 65" widescreen TV. There is also a 47" widescreen TV in the lounge.

To cater for very young children we provide a cot with bedding, a high chair, plastic tableware, a baby bath, a toilet seat adapter and good range of toys.

The property is very secure with a security system, security screens and a small safe for valuables. The rear garden is also very private and secure.

Because Osborne Street is so close to the CBD, parking is restricted to a 2 hour limit on week days. Our parking permit will exempt you from this limit and enable you to park in the street 24/7.

We also have secure, off-street parking for two vehicles in our carport behind a remote controlled roller door. The width of the entrance and the clearance under the roller door are both 2.3 metres.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant house The photos do no do this house justice. Great for 2 families, plenty of room and the most beautiful back yard to enjoy an afternoon wine. We stayed with a toddler and she loved all the toys and running around the backyard. Walking distance to the botanical gardens, the Zoo and the city. So close to everything yet so tranquil. The host met us there and ran through everything and was very helpful even before checking in. We will definitely be back to stay again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful family stay! 8 Osborne St was a perfect, 6-night choice for our family of 6 (2 children, their grandparents and ourselves). Our host thought of everything and we had all the conveniences of home, away from home, in a most beautiful setting! The house was well equipped and we able to leave 2 cars, securely, at the property, whilst we explored the nearby gardens and CBD (easily within walking distance). A special thank you from our children, who loved the garden and welcomed the provision of the scooters, games, books and pogo sticks- they didn't want to leave! We all appreciated the considerations made for a most comfortable stay and we would highly recommend this property for families visiting Adelaide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent place for a family retreat We stayed there as a family of 7 ( 3 kids in tow and my in-laws ). We were pleasantly surprised by the place as it catered for the needs of my kids ( they could play with the pogo sticks and Legos ) to the needs of my in laws who enjoyed sharing a pot of tea over a conversation in the beautiful garden . The place is within walking distance to Rundle St where I caught up with some friends for a round of beer. A great place catering to a multi-generational family needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect From booking to check in Edward was the most welcoming and accomadating host. Perfect location for a stay - no need for a car it's so easy to either walk into town or bus stops at the end of the street. Highly recommend for a friends stay or family getaway.
