Sitting adjacent to the base of the Adelaide Hills, Bickham Grange Estate is a fully self contained cottage restored with loving detail to its original beauty. Established in 1851, the cottage initially housed a family of brewers before becoming a longstanding residence for the family of the first Bishop of Adelaide.
THE SPACE: This heritage listed home radiates the charm of yesteryear, featuring high ceilings, leadlight windows and cosy open fireplace. The home consists of two bedrooms and generous living space furnished throughout with a mix of antique and modern, providing spacious accommodation for two couples or a group of friends. Bedrooms are generous in size, each furnished with a double bed with an extra single bed in the larger room, bathroom is furnished with original claw foot bath, walk-in shower and toilet .. and a second toilet is located off the kitchen. Kitchen is fitted with oven, cooktop and microwave. All crockery, cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils, linen and towels are provided.
WELCOME: I will meet you on arrival, and provide keys to the cottage. We are available at all times to assist with guest enquiries, however we respect your privacy and won't intrude. A welcome basket with provisions for continental breakfast - cereals, bread, juice, milk, tea/coffee, selection of conserves, and a generous fruit bowl - will be awaiting you on arrival.
GUEST ACCESS: Guests have access to the whole house and the private gardens surrounding it, with exclusive use of the cottage per individual booking. Relax at the end of the day with a sunset drink on the patio, or start off your day with a hot cuppa in the morning sunshine. You will enjoy a quiet and private environment, and a beautiful spot to relax ... your comfort is assured

Ideally located in a quiet residential street in the leafy suburb of Dernancourt, you will experience breathtaking scenery, national parks, tantalising cellar doors and bushwalking trails within a few minutes of leaving home. We are just 10km from the CBD, 20 minutes from the Adelaide Hills, and only an hour's drive from the famed Barossa, McLaren Vale and Clare Valley wine districts.
RATES: The advertised nightly rate is based on the occupation of one bedroom only by up to two guests, ie one couple. If two guests require a separate bedroom each, a weekly $40 linen/services fee applies. The second bedroom is not made up when one couple books, unless requested. Guest numbers in excess of two persons will be charged at the rate of $40 per adult guest per night. Children up to age 16 years will be charged at the rate of $15 per guest per night. The cottage accommodates five 5 guests maximum. Off street undercover parking is provided for one vehicle.
STAY: The minimum accepted booking is 2 nights except for Easter, Christmas and the New Year holiday period 22Dec-21Jan when the minimum accepted booking is 3 nights. We also offer attractive long term rates - ten percent discount when you stay 7 days, and up to twenty percent discount when you stay 28 days or longer.
