'Mi casa es su casa' - make yourself at home. My wish is that you feel right at home in this cosy comfy private pied a terre. I am a host who is very happy and willing to help and answer any questions, flexible if possible on admission and leaving times, prepared to negotiate cost.
Casa Roja is a cosy delightful pied-à-terre that would ideally suit a couple or a single. Whether you come to Glenelg for a holiday, to catch up with friends and family, to attend a child''s sporting events or to avail of everything and anything Adelaide has to offer, or just to relax - Casa Roja is ideal. Close to transport, both buses and trams, the beach, shopping precinct, eateries, the racecourse.
A wall of windows separates the lounge/dining area from a private leafy undercroft balcony with generous seating and a 4-burner BBQ.
The design has a Mexican feel with arches between rooms and an open floor plan. The rough-hewn brick walls and the beamed ceilings give texture. The original painting on the walls are striking.
There are special touches such as an ironing cupboard, hand rails in the bathroom, a frosted glass door into the generous bedroom, fast reliable Wifi, undercover off street parking. There are bookcases with a great array of books, a TV and DVD player and DVDs, board games, a laptop table, clothes hangers and plenty of cupboard space. The bed is queen size and comfortable
Glenelg is both a recreational hub and a shopping precinct where the shops stay open longer. There are many eateries to choose from and it is very enjoyable to stroll along Jetty Road. People are friendly and helpful.
The Glenelg Tram takes you straight into the City and the Entertainment Centre.
Another bonus? Glenelg North is less than 20 minutes from the airport.
The weather in Adelaide lends itself to a beach and outdoor culture. There are many kilometres of cycle paths all along the stretch of beaches. Be sure and pack your swimming costume. There is also an Olympic pool precinct only kilometres away.
Adelaide is the capital of South Australia, which has many treasures - the vineyards, the Fleurieu Peninsula, Kangaroo Island, many interesting country towns. Hahndorf for example which was founded by early German settlers, Victor Harbor and Goolwa.
