This light and bright home is perfect for a get away to Adelaide, or for a family new to Adelaide seeking a home-from-home. Quiet but well connected with the bus just 1 minute and trains only 4 mins from the house. The bus runs to Hallett Cove shopping centre, Westfield Marion, Flinders University/Medical Centre and Flinders campus at Tonsley. The train takes you south to Seaford, or north to Adelaide via the beaches of Seacliff and Brighton.
The formal lounge/dining area offers seaviews and sunsets. In summer, keep cool with ducted air-conditioning and ceiling fans. In winter, keep cosy with a gas wall heater.
2 bedrooms offer comfortable beds for all. The master room has a queen bed with fresh linen and towels. The second bedroom has a king-single and a single bed large enough for teens/adults. Linen and towels supplied. We also have an additional folding bed which is suitable for a child or small adult and can be used in the lounge area if the extra bed is required. Infants are welcome, but will need to bring their own portacot/high chair.
The recently renovated kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, induction cook top, oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, Nespresso coffee maker, sandwich press and toaster. For all guests we offer complementary tea, instant coffee and hot chocolate and for stays of over a week we offer a complementary basket of breakfast basics bread, butter, jam, cornflakes, milk. For Gluten-free guests we keep a dedicated gluten free toaster and a separate cutting board please let us know in advance if you need this as we keep it away to prevent cross-contamination.
Outdoors, the covered entertainment area offers all weather sea views and seating. You are welcome to bring a disposable BBQ to use outdoors.
We also have an under cover washing line, handy to dry all your beach towels or clothing.
The neat and tidy bathroom is well equipped with sink, shower and bath. Hot water is provided via the gas instant hot water service. There is a separate toilet. A laundry room provides access to washing machine, laundry sink, iron and ironing board.
For the comfort of all guests our property is Non-Smoking.
Things to do and places to see
Hallett Cove is a fantastic location to enjoy both the city of Adelaide and the beautiful Fleurieu peninsula. The world renowned wineries of McLaren Vale are approximately 20 minutes drive. The Fleurieu offers scenic drives, gourmet food producers and wide unspoilt, uncrowded beaches.
Kangaroo Island and its amazing wildlife can be accessed from the ferry port an hours drive away.
Locally in Hallett Cove, enjoy the Hallett Cove Conservation Park, location of stunning glacial features and Aboriginal artefacts. Walk down to the Hallett Cove coastal path to take in stunning views and look for dolphins, seals and whales in the water. Cyclists can take advantage of the Coast to Vines cycle trail that stretches down to McLaren Vale.
Hallett Cove 5 mins by car or bus offers a selection of food, clothes and homewares. However, for a larger selection Westfield Marion, or the City's Rundle Mall and historic Central Market are easily accessible by train, bus or car.
A 45 minute car journey will take you to Cleland Wildlife park, the quaint town of Hahndorf or more wineries in the Adelaide Hills. Just over an hour away enjoy Goolwa at the mouth of the Murray River. The south of the Fleurieu peninsula also offers excellent surfing beaches with great surf schools for beginners.
For those attending sports events, the Marion Aquatic Centre, Adelaide Oval, Adelaide Basketball stadium and Adelaide Show Grounds are easily accessible by train.
