This property is located between Semaphore to the south and North Haven to the north on this beautiful section of Adelaide's foreshore.
The historic town of Port Adelaide and the pretty seaside town of Semaphore are both a short five minute drive away. Both suburbs offer excellent cafes, restaurants, galleries and shopping areas. North Haven offers a large Marina, with facilities which include a function venue and restaurant, and of course a large berthing area for boats, with short and long term leases for boats of all sizes. Also located in North Haven is a large 18 hole golf course.
There are a number of summer Festivals held in the area including the International Kite Festival and Greek and Spanish Festivals.
Semaphore has a mini fun park for the kids with a carousel, Ferris wheel, mini golf and a waterslide. There is a mini steam train which runs along the sea front during school holiday and weekends.
There is a bike/footpath which runs from Outer Harbor to Semaphore along the foreshore, with a number of cafes along the way.
The white sandy beaches are perfect for swimming with life guards dotted along the coastline and several jetty's suitable for fishing or just taking in the magnificent coastline.
The Port River Dolphin trail has daily tours on two boats leaving regularly from Port Adelaide, offering lunch and evening cruises and a chance to spot the dolphins along the way. Adventure Kayak Tours runs from the Port river, suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, for the opportunity to explore the dolphin sanctuary and the Ships Graveyard.
Also at Port Adelaide are the Maritime museum, Lighthouse, National Railway museum, National Military Vehicle museum, South Australian Aviation Museum and the Australian Museum of Childhood, plenty to keep the whole family busy for a few days
There are also the Fisherman's markets held on Sundays and public holidays. And a number of fishing charters and riverboat cruises that operate out of the area.
It is a 25 minute drive to the city of Adelaide, there are good rail and bus links serving the area. The International Adelaide Airport is an easy 35 minute drive to the south.
