The property was established as an Iron casting Foundry in 1870 by David Thomson and has been in the Thomson family until around 1969. A lot of the original foundry still remains and there are samples of their craft with many of the old implements adorning the walls. The property is set on 3/4 of an acre and has large gum and native trees that attract birds of all species. The old world charm has been captured in the layout of the suites and the surrounding buildings.
