Stay in the luxury of these self contained suites. Masterly rennovated rooms feature quality fittings with an antique Australian quality.
Guests are invited to enjoy the large stone walled courtyard containing a BBQ area and spa which is delightfully set among sprawling vines and greenery.
Within walking distance to the main street of Gawler, restaurants and local pubs. Also nearby a large Coles and Big W shopping complex. Close enough to the Gawler Central railway station to walk but far enough so you don't get the noise of the trains. Golf course and swimming pool also within walking distance.
The property was established as an Iron casting Foundry in 1870 by David Thomson and has been in the Thomson family until around 1969. A lot of the original foundry still remains and there are samples of their craft with many of the old implements adorning the walls. The property is set on 3/4 of an acre and has large gum and native trees that attract birds of all species. The old world charm has been captured in the layout of the suites and the surrounding buildings.
