The Coffee Palace is a historic property built in 1855 and elegantly restored to provide beautiful accommodation for up to 14 guests. Spread out over 3 floors you and your companions enjoy over 400m2 of living space, including 7 bedrooms, 5 living rooms, 2 kitchens, 3.5 bathrooms and plenty of outdoor verandas and decks. Completely self-contained and yours exclusively during your stay, we provide many extra comforts and little touches to make you feel at home.
Cook up a storm in the large kitchen with "falcon"range with gas cooktop, double fridge/freezer and baking and cooking requirements for your group. There is also a BBQ on the rear verandah and a large outdoor table for enjoyment in the warmer months.
For evenings entertainment we have plenty of comfortable seating, 2 televisions, cable channels, lots of dvds, games and of course, our huge games room with billiard table.
For some more restful activities you may like to make a selection from our book collection and sit in a quiet spot in the lovely gardens or sit on the front balcony with a glass of wine and look over the view of Lyndoch and the hills beyond.
There are 7 bedrooms in all, 2 are on the ground floor, one of which has a luxurious ensuite with claw foot bathtub and dressing room. Both of these bedrooms can be configured as twins or king size beds. Upstairs there are four more bedrooms which are one king, one double and two twin rooms. These bedrooms share 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet. They also have access to a smaller kitchen upstairs and a small lounge area with french doors leading to an upstairs deck with views out over the township. The last bedroom is in the cellar and is quirky and spacious with its own window garden, letting in plenty of light. The bed is a very comfortable double futon. This bedroom is accessed via a spriral staircase and bathroom facilities are up the two sets of stairs, so for the more nimble guests.
The house is air-conditioned upstairs and downstairs, has free wifi and guests are supplied with quality linen, towels and bathroom products. Each of the two kitchens have tea and coffee making facilities. On arrival, guests can expect a welcome platter of delicious goodies to assuage their hunger.
The house is wonderfully located a short stroll from the Lyndoch main street and you have access to a great local supermarket they have a wonderful selection of smallgoods, a fantastic butcher prize-winning mettwurst here, bakery, hairdresser, library and council office, cellar door, restaurants the Lord Lyndoch is a great place for dining, galleries, boutiques and more.
There is public transport available by way of a local bus service which stops a few metres from the house. Check linksa services for current timetable and map information.
We ask that guests please respect the neighbors, therefore request that no amplified music be played on the premises. We also request that noise be kept to a minimum after 10pm.
We have a no party policy which makes us unsuitable for stag, hen and similar parties. a dinner celebration with family and friends is fine, but unruly behaviour will not be accepted and we reserve the right to refuse a booking and to ask guests to vacate the premises without notice and without refund. We have been operating for over 12 months and have had little trouble from most people who have been respectful and a joy to host. Reviews on our other booking partners are rating 5/5 from our very satisfied customers and we make it our mission to ensure a fantastic stay.
