Built 60 years ago, this 400 sqm house has a lot of character. It boasts a huge central living area with two 'wings' containing bedrooms. Original timber flooring and panelling give warmth to the rooms which are brightened by the morning sun.
The three living areas enable guests to have their own space and they have worked very well for work crews and for families staying together. The main living room has a lounge and flat screen TV, the large front verandah has a table, chairs and a swing seat and the enclosed back verandah has a BBQ, table & chairs, another flat screen TV and lounge suite.
This awesome holiday home boasts fantastic uninterrupted seafront views of the city, the sea and amazing sun and moon rises. Cruise ships, grain ships, yachts, motor boats and marine life such as dolphins are easily seen.
The home accommodates 5 double bedrooms: 3 with Queen beds and two with two singles. The Master bedroom has an ensuite plus an adjoining fifth bedroom / study/ parents retreat with two single beds. The three remaining rooms share the family bathroom with bath and separate toilet. A large cot that could sleep a four year old is also available.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and butlers pantry with dishwasher, microwave and three sets of cutlery for those keen on entertaining. A large fridge/freezer will hold the biggest catch. The large laundry has a washing machine, dryer, clothes rack, ironing board and iron and plenty of space for surfboards and fishing gear.
There are two undercover parks in the secure garage with electronic doors and there are a number of other parking spaces available around the property. It takes five minutes to get to town and 2 minutes to the boat ramp if that Pets are by arrangement and are generally accommodated in the large back verandah.
The main house is very accessible to most people with mobility issues as there is one small step into the house. The extensive front fenced yard also has some steps and uneven ground. If you are able, many people have enjoyed taking the path to the road where you can walk the Parnkalla walking trail to the city. Towels, summer and winter bed linen, dish and clothes washing liquid are all supplied.
